Someone named "Lucy" who couldn't speak English very well, left a voice mail said it was "Very important and I needed to call her back A.S.A.P"  Well, guess what Lucy............you're going to be waiting a long...........very long time.

I answered the call, but it was a recorded message, a woman's voice. She told me it was the IRS calling and that they were filing suit against us. Well, I can't imagine why. B.S. methinks.

Received call (recorded message) May 12th from "IRS".  Knew it was a scam as I had already paid my taxes.
Reported it to my phone company.  Ws told that this call did not come from Dallas and the IRS is investigating
this.  They do not want your SS# but tell you how much you owe and tell you tosend a check for that amount.
They hav scammed people out of millions of dollars, mostly the elderly.

Scammers and total scumbags told them to call home office in Iran ask for Mohammed

Received a voicemail saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit against us.

Received automated recording that IRS had filed a lawsuit. IRS would contact by certified mail, not automated telephone recording.  Caller ID showed only Dallas, TX as company name.  Listed it as unknown due to automated voice recording.

Just received the same recorded message / phone call about a lawsuit filed against me by the IRS. Scamalicious!

Just checked my messages. I got a recording saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. They did not leave a contact name nor a case number. The message was at 6:06pm. My question is why would the IRS call me after 5pm? Aren't they closed? I filed my taxes in February. I called the number and there was a foreigner's voice on the message. Shouldn't it have been from a local number?

Got an automated message on the machine on 5/12/15 saying that the "IRS" was filing a law suit against us.  There's no reason for the IRS to sue us and even if there was, I knew they would not be contacting us via an automated phone call.  Ridiculous.  These people have a phone number.  Doesn't that mean they had to give the phone company an address?  Why can't they be found and lynched or something like the useless parasites they are?

Nice sounding female voice telling me that IRS is coming after me. Hung up before she could complete her SCAM message.

Just came home to a recorded message from a female at this number. Same message as already indicated....the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and was urgent that I call that number back. My Caller ID indicated Unknown Name and only the phone number.
I'm not calling back. Someone should be able to trace and stop this.

This number called me when I was still at work. Whomever it was didn't leave a message.

If it was a scam about unpaid taxes, they called the wrong person. Given my accounting experience, I know enough to know the IRS doesn't use collection calls.

Got a call from this number claiming that the IRS was suing me. I knew it was BS because I paid my taxes so they had no reason to sue me. Also, I know the IRS would use a live caller rather than a recording.

My wife called me in a panic as she was hearing this message as she was headed out the door. Told he this has been a widely reported scam and like most folks here, know the IRS doesn't communicate this way. They'd rather scare the hell out of you via USPS.

Called our house this morning, left a message saying the IRS had filed a lawsuit against us. Got news for 'em. We have a letter from the IRS confirming our bill was paid in full. Just some scumbag pulling a scam.

Got the same recorded message from the IRS that I was being sued. SCAM!

Got a call saying IRS had filled a law suit against me and I was supposed to call back right away, sounds like a big scam to me.  I believe the IRS sends a letter first not a phone call from a cell phone in Dallas, Tx.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received the same call here in Columbus, Ohio two hours ago.
