Roe - 13 Mar 2007A research company called with an automated survey. There is no way to opt out as far as I understand. I answered the questions. Hopefully they will stop calling. Did anyone manage to unsubscribe from them?

TraceyD - 27 Mar 2007I used to work for market research companies as an interviewer, market research survey calls are not included in the law by the National DNC list, so you may receive calls from market research, they also do not have time restrictions like solicitors since they are not selling anything, companies like Gallup however try to keep it no later than 9 PM. Most research companies also can disposition a call as Do Not Call, and have the number on a list, but not all of them do this, they are also not required to do so, Gallup and MSR out of Omaha however do, Its annoying, they still cannot call a personal cell phone though unless you give them permission. If they tell you they can not put you on a DNC list...ask for a supervisor or manager...they'll normally get you on something or remove the number from the current program database. Warmenuf - 30 Jan 2008I took their poll. It seemed legitimate, with no "gotcha" questions. It had some national questions, but seemed to have more focused on the upcoming North Carolina primaries (in May) for governor and senator. Since I live in NC, it seemed perfectly natural. I work for a company which does similar polls - though with live telephone interviewers.

Waman - 15 Feb 2008I got The call from (2114)283-1316 at 6:52pm.....about dinner time. All that caller ID said was Wireless Caller. The automated message claimed to be from a company called Rassmusen Research, at that point I hung up. in my opinion automated research polls should be treated like Email spam.. and made illegeal. just my two cents worth

mOsArt - 13 Jul 2008That's the KEY...don't ANSWER it...this day and age...WHO DONT HAVE CALLER ID...so look...and decide whether you know whom it is....if not..Just let the Answer Machine pick it up ...they'll stop eventually...I just so happen to look up the area code by google and found the EXACT number to which is BOTHERING us ALL...they are really Bothersome....but...I just let them practice their hang-up....lol
