The usual computer virus scam.

This number on ID.  I wasn't home.  Said it was Microsoft Engineers on message machine.

Just like everyone else -- same old "your-computer-is-sending-us-error-messages-and-we-can-help-you-fix-it" scam.  I played along and when the Indian-sounding guy called Mark told me to press the control key + the letter R and tell him what the screen said, I replied "It says this phone call is a scam and you had better not call back here again!!!"  Then I blocked the number.  Scumbags!!!

This is my first time getting a phone call from this number (214-302-6762). I knew right away it was a computer scam stating that I had a Microsoft virus that needed immediate repair. Beware, this is a scam as your software isn't attached to your phone number!

This is long but important ....please read as there is pertinent info throughout.
I've had calls from this # and once answered a similar #, it was close to a relatives #.... but, hardly spoke english, said he was from microsoft and i had to get on-line, while he was on phone, and he would direct me to allow him access via my IP address! I've been on computers since DOS...i have remote access turned off and suggest you all do the same. He was very pushy, rude, hateful...I questioned his location...he said I'm from microsoft and if you don't let me on you will loose all your information ....only I can fix it...I told him I want to know where his office is...he said microsoft ...i insisted on specific location...he said 1st floor! I asked his name, his mngrs name, his office address, a call-back #....he kept getting more aggrivated and I was having fun. I told him if microsoft found an error on my computer they would send a pop-up alert and/or recommend update. I had him so mad he told me he "hoped I  got eat up with viruses and lost everything!" Then he hung up. I immediately called my phone/internet/cable provider. He took note of the # and enjoyed the story. He said there is nothing he can do except document the incident. He suggested thissite and others to report it
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HE SAID WAS IF I ANSWER AM UNKNOWN CALL TO MAKE SURE MY COMPUTER IS OFF AND MY WIRELESS IS NOT IN USE BECAUSE SOME OF THESE  SCAMMERS CAN READ THAT INFO WITH THEIR EQUIPMENT!!!!!

Yeah they just called on thanksgiving. .I said why the [***] are you calling trying to scam me today?! The guy replies because I want to [***] with you..wow..nice

It is a scammer trying to hack into your system to get your private data.  When I asked him what was my computer's brand he said, "you don't know".  I said I did but you must be able to identify the brand and model before we continue this conversation.  Needless the person (from India I believe) hung up.

I got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying my Microsoft Office is showing fatal errors when I questioned him where is he calling from and how he got my number he hung up. Jerk!

214-302-6762 I was on ny computer and the key board stopped working.  A few minutes later I got a call telling me they were from Microsoft and I had to let them in my computer to fix error.  Unfortunately I did.  I hope that they did not get any information off my computer.  He pressured me to let them fix the computer for a charge.  He wanted to begin right away. I asked him what the charge would be. He told me $399.00 I told him it was too much.  He said since I was a Senior Citizen I could have it for $299.00.  I told him I have to talk to a family member.  He said its your computer why do you have to talk to anyone.  I hung up.  He called me back pressuring me

i just got my computer yesterday, haven't even hooked it up  wth!!

When the Indian said he is Bill .I said ,is this Bill Patel? He said yes. I told him that Mr Gupta had solved the problem yesterday. good buy.

Please do not call me anymore.  I am not interested in any sales calls.  I am listed on the "do not call" list.

Scam. A live person calling from a cell phone tried this yesterday and today a message on my answering machine. Claims to Microsoft engineer.

They just called. Thanks to all that post here so I could identify this scam.

Best solution is to get a call blocker, which I just used.

Said I had a virus on my computer when they called and they needed to fix it. I said I wasn't interested. They said they were from microsoft. I then hung up.

Got a call today purporting to be from Microsoft stating my computer was showing "errors" and to call the technicians at that number to fix it.  Have heard of these calls before from hackers who will download a virus to your computer and steal all you files and info.

Are these P R I C K S ever going to stop trying hello I don't answer any calls I don't know and I blocked 214 weeks ago.
This what happens when your mother and father are brother and sister you grow up to be an inbred telemarketer.

Caller claimed he was Microsoft Engineer and said my computer was damaged.  (Didn't know if I even had a computer).  I asked if he thought I was an idiot and he just started calling me a muth*-fu**er and other obscenities.  Clearly a dot-head accent and a real low-life.
