A person claiming to help veterans and ask for help by asking you to send money.

Asking for info

stating they were from a veterans help group and asking for money, they said they would send out information packet. I asked them not too...this is a local number in the Dallas area. I am associated with a veteran group already. My son who served in Iraq and is now unemployed.

I really hope this isn't a scam I asked for the packet... They said They were collecting money for vets...

I didn't answer this call. I won't give any money by phone. It can be scam. Thanks for the information.

they asked for me when my sister answered and I wasn't home. she said she could take a message and I would call them back and they said No and that they would call back. I blocked them. they are scammers!

called then hung up. i called back and it sounded like a RECORDED busy line... Caller ID said Frisco tx.

I was interested in helping but he got aggravated with me. Is this real or fake??

Whoever this is they keep calling my cell phone. When you call the number back its always busy. I do not pick up if I don't  recognize the number. They don't give up. Have called over fifty(50) times today. They are  persistent but I just blocked them.

They are scamers. Called me. I said we are veterans and they hung up.

Says he is collecting money for vets.  We have told them no and to remove our name from their list but they don't.  They keep calling my cell phone.

They called my cell phone asking for "Cora".  As I've had this same cell # for 8-9 years, I suspect they didn't have "Cora's" number but are instead just calling randomly in hopes that someone bites.  Probably another of those fundraising organizations that keeps most of the money for themselves in the form of fees, with the veterans seeing precious little of it.  Purely speculation on my part, of course.

Called my cell phone, didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.  Am debating whether to call back and be rude which if it's telemarketing or scammers they deserve what they get.  Plan to block number

Called my cell phone, when I asked for a call back number they gave me a (407) area code.  It is completely automated.  When I asked the caller, Mark, what he did, the response was "this should only take a couple minutes".  Avoid the scam

This is a scam number, when I answered, they asked for the head of the household...I hung up.

This number called my cell and asked for Robert.  When I told them they had the wrong number, they went into a schpeel about veterans.  I hung up.  I do not give to "charities" that call me on the phone.  High potential for scams or being professional solicitors.  I research my charities first and see what percentage actually goes to the charity.  I think this was a scam calling random numbers.
