Called saying that i have a warrant out for my arrest for bank fraud. He said his name was Bill Olsen gave me the number 214-310-1370 but would not give me the name of his company but said that BMG is the company that is filling the charges against me. This is a total scam!!! I wish they would stop they are calling my job.

Got a call from these ppl about a payday loan they claim I took out in 2011 from a check cashing store ACE that I haven't even set foot inside in AGES. Told me I would be arrested and face 6 to 18 months. SCAM.

As soon as I began asking questions (name, company, where calling from, etc) he told me I was going around and around and I needed to have my attorney call him. Find it amazing that I can find no info on these ppl online. FRAUDS

An individual called and identified himself as Bill Larson, (but pronounce it as Bill Lawson) had some public information about a family member. He started out with an "arrest is going to made by the police on a family member before noon". This inflaming statement is design clearly to throw the receiver off guard; because, during the course of our conversation, he attempted to probe me for that family member's personal information and mine. He claimed to be a Bails Bondsman.

i got called from these people they like to scare you and threaten you so dont believe them scam scam please beware

these lowlife scumbags have one thing in mind and that is to rip off people these people are the lowest forms of sub human scum on the planet and should be prosecuted. i hope mr lawson burns in hell  !!!!!

I got the same call. Said his name Was Bill Olson and he had a warrant for my arrest for check fraud. He said he was with Lawson and Associates. Suppose to have gotten a loan in 2009 from First Financial. Couldn't answer many questions. I'm glad to know it is a scam.

everybody can do everybody a favor by reporting this to your local authorities. the sooner this scumbag gets put away the better off people will be scum like this deserves to be put behind bars for a very long time

my husband received that call today. which sent him thru the roof. and of course they called his job to start the day. how do u stop them?

Since they're obviously scammers, not much.  You can report them to the FTC, FCC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.  You can block their calls.  Your husband can also print up this forum thread and give a copy to his HR Dept and/or manager, so they know he's being harassed by scammers.  More info on this type of scam here (links):

Yesterday I recieved the same call from that number I think they tapping in the phone lines the call is not from the law office its a way that they doing it hoping Im wrong they told me I will be locked up without a bond for check fraud. I went to the police and made a report googled the number I guess Im not the only one. These people need to be put in jail for a very long time without no parole life sentence its sad how people can ruin your life.

Please read through Elspeth's post below! This is a scam, you can not be arrested for owing a debt! Its a civil matter, not criminal.

Hello I got the same [***], I just reported him to the FBI, and FTC, now he will pay the price, he said I will be arrested by Tuesday what a flake, really I told him to arrest me on Friday he never came, now the law enforcement involved, he needs to have a talk to BIll Olsen what a jerk I am sick of scammers

A mark douglas called from this number and said he was calling about bank fraud. And called back again....have no idea who it it's our why he is calling. Tried to get information from me about other people in house. I told him I'm not talking to him, seem like a scam.
