Got a call from this number telling me it was for a grant I can receive from national treasury for 50,000.

Just got a call from this number telling me I won a grant from our government of 50K since I was over 18, paid taxes and no criminal record for the past 6 months! I'd never have to pay it back - - - just give me an account number to transfer the funds to!  I then said, "I think it awful funny that our government is shut down but they wanna give me $50K"!  Told him to see if he could scam someone else!!

Said $50,000.00 grant money. Big scum. Stay away pls

Just got the same call,  told them the government never gives away free money to anyone who doesn't apply for it, and if they do mail it to me.

I got this dam call as well I told them (1) the government doesn't give money away to the people that need it just like that. (2) I asked this Women how she got my # and gave me some little story that made no sence (3) she asked if I had any criminal record of the past 6 months. She told me I would get another call the following day for further information on this fictitious grant. I will update as soon as I get more info on this scam.

Got this same call. Unfortunately, I fell for it, and it's too late tonight to go to the bank. I'll be going to the bank first thing in the morning to take care of this. I should've listened to my gut and known it was a scam!!

I got the same call unfortunately ive been down my luck lately and thought this would be that might at the end of the tunnel people are just so cruel and whoever is doing this should be caught and persecuted I should have known better geeze I feel moronic...... :(

I got a phone call from these people as well saying they wanted a card with $0 balance to transfer money into my account. Or they wanted my bank account number. They said it was a grant for $50,000.00. I couldn't even understand half of what she was saying!

Sorry, it was the same number as everyone else was getting called from.  They said they were in Dallas!

I received the  same  call  and I  fell  for  it  as well  and  now I  feel  real  stupid.  they  said  they  wouldon  Monday  to  authorize  the  funds. I  just  called  then  back  and a  man  answered  and I  told  them  that  this  is a  scam  and  if  so I  was  going  to  report  then  to  the  police  if  they  used  my  information.  He  said  that  they  are  not a  scam  and  all i have  to  do  is  cancel  but I  never  confirmed  anything  because  they  didn't  call  yet  they  have  to  call  Monday  so  we  shall  see  what  happens.

They called me this morning saying I was approved for a grant for $50,000 because I was a single mother, over 18yrs of age and had no felonies in the past 6mths. I didn't really believe it but didn't wanna loose out if it was real. So I gave them ah prepaid card number that no money will ever go on. He said that Sumone will call me Monday to confirm and the money will then be transferred. But what I can say is I'm on bankrupt so he can't use anything if mine for anything. Didn't ask for my social but did ask for the last four of my DL's number. And if they make the mistake of putting money on that card and try to get it back off within a hour it won't be nothing to get back off. They will learn from the stuff they tryna do.
