- JBZ| 29 repliesrepeatedly annoying calls from this number
- Big CThey called pretending they had some "lab results" for one of the members of our household. It seems they were fishing for information. Beware, they are probably I.D. thieves. They hung up quickly when we would not provide them anything.
- Chris Halbower replies to JBZOkay, I got a strange call from 214-377-5991
An automated voice said I had to "reactivate my ATM card". I had to punch in my 16 digit ATM #...
Obviously I did not. But it seems this phone number is trying to steal people's ATM numbers. - Lakeshore GirlI received 4 calls early this morning (around 7:00 am EST) from this number. I answered the first call but hung up when they asked for my bank information. I then looked up the number online and found this site. Just now on the local evening news they reported that this is a phishing scam that targeted hundreds of people in my area this morning, claiming their ATM card had been compromised and trying to get the card number and PIN number. http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_story.aspx?storyid=106083&catid=14 - hok| 2 repliesIt appears to me that 214-377-5991 has CNAM "VITELITY, LLC." <2143775991>.
214-377-5 rate center at Dallas, TX, originally assigned to 8958 XO TEXAS, INC., LATA 552 as of 2008-07-12.
It looks like caller used VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) VSP (Voice Service Provider) to make calls. The service subscribed was for outgoing calls only with no incoming call ability. VSP just sent "VITELITY, LLC." <2143775991> as CNAM (Caller ID with Name).- Caller: appear to be a VoIP user
- Call type: Valid
- Grandma in GAReceived call March 14 (so did my husband) on cell phone - automated voice stating they represented some Federal agency and that my ATM account had been suspended and I needed to do "such and such" to reactivate. I may be a "grandma" but I'm not STUPID!
- LisaLou1019| 1 replyThey called our house phone about five mintues ago. Saying that our Tennessee Valley Ferderal Credit Union card was suspended due to suspicious activity. Then it wanted you to enter the card number. Dont fall for it.
- annoyedintexas| 1 replyGot a call from this number at 2:00 am in the morning, could not get back to sleep. From past experience, getting a call in the middle of the night does not mean good news. Please find who is doing this and prosecute to the fullest!
- Dgot a call from that number asking to input my ATM number that it was temporarily suspended...fine this person and prosicute them!
- Caller: none, just the number
- Timberline solitudeReceived a call claiming my "credit card" had been compromised and was canceling it and being referred to security. (On answering machine) The slimballs of the earth never quit!

- jack replies to hok| 1 replysame crap 1:37 am 4-24-09 yes AM !!!
1:37 am 4-24 - Received call from 214 377 5991 caller id says Vitelity LLC - recorded message over and over again that City Credit Union is calling and have suspended my card ( I dont have a City credit union card ) The message repeated over and over about 10 - 12 times and then it crashed into some weird software program asking me to press all these numbers and passwords etc to get something called "asterisk" running again.... I just listened to it and all the while my phone was recording it - I now have forwarded it to the FTC and BBB and the attorney general of my state. So we will se what happens. I suggest you do the same. Vitelity may not be at fault and then again they might be. Scammers for sure was the reason for this all. - jack replies to annoyedintexasWrite your attorney general and file a complaint wit the FTC this is a scam - they want you credit card numbers and do it at night so you will get scared and be confused at the same time.... dont do it - dont answer - SCAM SCAM SCAM

- kim| 1 replyreceived a call at 4:15 this morning telling me that my card had been suspended for suspicion of unauthorized use. Checked my cards and my husband's - no cancellations or suspensions (big surprise). Called the phone number from my caller ID, got a recorded message to give my name and press # to be connected. I gave my name, pressed #, the message said "Thank you, Goodbye" and terminated the connection. Fortunately I called from work where our numbers are masked through a switchboard.
- kim replies to kimActually, what the recorded voice said when I called and said my name was "Please wait while I connect your call, goodbye" and terminated the connection.
- DebbieSeveral customers from Bank of the Commonwealth received calls from this number in the middle of the night over the weekend of 9/12/09. This is a scam - do not provide any personal information over the phone regarding your debit cards. Banks will never solicit this type of information.
- nkon| 1 replyI got a call from this very number, saying that I registered my phone numbers on National Do Not Call List registry (which I did 4 years back) and that in order to make it more robust, they are going to provide me a 5 digit password (which came in another automated call - and said it is Craig's list password) that I need to use when I register my phone number on www.fcc.gov/ frn registration. This guy called back and asked me that 5 digit code. I did not give him the number and told him that I need to think about it. He was asking why I need to think about it, and that this is my only chance to sign up with the FCC FRN to stop getting tele-marketing calls - he did this atleast 3 times. I still did not give in and finally the call ended there and then I googled and found this site.
I tried to call FCC and FTC but they have very long recorded messages but could not talk to real person to complain (or even to find out the authenticity of this call(er)).
Who should I complain to? - Alan replies to nkonThis is very funny - I got the same call that they (214-377-5991) were the National Do Not Call Center / FTC. I was able to get through to the FTC and talk to a live person. I was told that the FCT does NOT do this.
This is a SACM!
Do not give them any information.
Call the FCT and report this.
The FCT said that we need to keep track of Phone billing and to also contact our phone provider and give them the same information
