I received a "Sorry We Missed You" card twice. Someone is always home.  They did not ring the doorbell. We called the number after the 2nd Attempt.  They are a distributing Welcome Packages on behalf of the city you moved to.  Per the guy on the phone Welcome Package includes coupons, restaurant discount cards, advertising directory, etc.  I'm not sue our city would do this.  We moved here 9 years ago and city volunteers delivered Welcome Package with city freebies (license plate covers, cups etc.)

Me too.  Once in the mailbox and once on the door.  I'd like to know why there is no good company info or mailing address on it.  I see that the x on the 3rd and final attempt is to entice me to not miss out on something, but it is likely some marketing scheme.

I agree with the other responses.  This note they left on the door appears to be a ploy to get you to call them and my experience appears that they will distribute whatever phone number you call them back from to other telemarketers.  

I just bought a new house and found one of their "sorry we missed you" notes taped near the mailbox.  -  The name on the note is is GeoTrek.   ( I actually had foundation work done at this address by a company called GeoTek and thought it was them ).  - Anyways, I called the number thinking it was the foundation co. however, I realized my mistake when I was told they were delivering "welcome packages" to new residents which consisted of coupons for local businesses, etc.

Here is the kicker.  -  I called from my unlsited work number and the next day I started receiving calls at that number from companies stating " Oh Hello Mr Smokin'  We understand you just moved into ( they knew my address ) and that you are new to the neighborhood and we would like to offer you such and such"

Beware calling this number back as I suspect my previously unlisted number will start getting sales calls. -  Time to sign this number up for the the old "do-not-call" list.

I just called on this card, I can't wait to start getting harrassed.  :0(  they said they had a welcome gift from my title company that was a gift voucher they would email.me ... I.was dumb enough to give them my email address before I found and read this notice.  I guess my Hotmail acct will be trashed now.  Ugh how could I be so stupid.  I guess I should be happy I didn't give them my work email.

I have had two notices left on my door, the man who left one of them even walked around to the back of my house after ringing the doorbell. I did not answer.

You need to call the police!! Sounds like he was "casing" you're house---be careful!!

I got one of those cards yesterday. I called the fort worth number and chewed the girl out.. I have a no soliciting sign on my front door. I guess now I'll get phone calls...damn. why cant we gather up all the crooks and throw em in a bottomless pit?  That would probably be half of the world population. I'm not sure if I should give you an e-mail address. You might be a crook too

I live in Burleson, Tx. and yesterday a guy came to my front door, didn't ring the door bell or knock, just stuck the notice on the door and hurried away in a small black car. If he comes back today I will get his licsense plate number. gchilds60@yahoo.com

Look, would you stop?  No one is buying that you are who you say you are.  You are pretending to be this woman and you tell us to look at the website that you got her info from when you insist you are legitimate.  Hey, I work for these people, wouldn't I just be so valuable to your story?

I also got a note on my door from nuhomeowner.com GeoTrek when I moved into my home in Richardson TX. When I called to check on it they wouldn't tell me what it was about and kept asking me for personal information. Soon after I started receiving telemarketing calls on the phone I called them with. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE GeoTrek TICKET.

Sorry but marketing is not a crime people. I do not understand how this is all getting so out of control. I moved to FW and bought a new home and started my company and I had to market and guess what I did we printed up flyers to have people call in and we pushed products to them. It is great business is booming and people want products they just have to be talked into it. This is also a good thing for the economy as well to build revenue .

I just received a card. I live in Phoenix Az, so this scam must be expanding. It has Eclipse Distribution on it and when I look up the website GeoTrek pops up.  I will be notifying Local Police
