This number has called me on numerous times and tried to get me to verify my personal information to them.  I refused and the person on the other end got very belligerent with me and stated that was on a recorded line.  If he was on a recorded line he should have talked to me a very rude way which caused me to get rude back.. he stated he would have me arrested at my job if I did not pay a one time fee of $XXX to avoid going to jail. Stated that I took out a loan and now I am a criminal and must pay to avoid going to jail. He has called me a millions times.

They don't send people to jail for not paying money.

I received a call yesterday after applying from a loan company that I have used before with no problems, this man with a heavy Indian accent left me a message on my phone, stating that his name was Officer Paul Cooper from some kind of tax company or something and that an allegation against me and my Social Security number has performed an illegal fund or something and that if I did not get in touch with him they would proceed with my arrest. The message was so distorted with static, I could hardly understand the message so I kept playing it over so I could catch what he was saying. I did not return his call, about two and a half months ago was scammed out of $xxx amount of dollars so now when I get a call from people with this accent I get very suspicious of them, especially since I am doing everything I can to pay out my loans on time. Now I Google the numbers that I received from these people.

Same situation as described above. Have contacted my bank and they are going to investigate as well.

This company? person? called last week and I told them I was not allowed to accept personal calls at work and they called 20 times in 20 minutes after that.  They have also tried to call today after I told them this.  Is there anything else I can do to block them from my work phone?   I know who I owe money to and I am working on paying these debts off, but these calls are just frustrating.

Let them know the next time they call your employer has tapped their phone lines and the FBI is monitoring their conversation.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

i got a call from this number for two days said i will go to jail and instructed me to get a green dot money pak and send them 1536  his name so he said was officer robert moore  and his fax number was 6148591093

Yes, I'm sure all of that took place in your strange parallel universe run by extortionist criminals. Here in the real United States, the wardens don't want penny-ante debtors cluttering their jail cells. Federal agents and attorneys general are not wasting their days running down payday loan debtors. In fact, they help to prosecute and imprison pathetic scammers like you who fail miserably to convince us otherwise.

this paul cooper keeps calling me at work saying hes a feds and i owe money to loan companies cursing my bosses threating to arrest me garnish my check  just want it stop before i get fired

This guy called saying he was a chief Robert  Marshall he has called several times he threatens u with jail time amd loosing ur job.i told him I had an attorney to handle all this because of bankruptcy he wouldnt even take his name.my attorney is aware of all this.I wish there was a way u could sue them.
