- rosebudI answered the phone and a recording was asking for me and asked me to hold on. I held on and the recording came on again asking me to hold on for an important message regarding a debt. I held on and again the recording asked me to hold for a rep. I hung up! It must not be THAT important if they are using a recording and not a real person.
- Caller: the recording never said the co's name
- PTDCaller did not leave a message. After reading reports here I blocked the number from calling in the future.
- Caller: unknown
- Fred| 2 repliesI called this # back when they hung up on me. their automated system said they were "Common Wealth Financial Systems" and they answer MCC? They were calling my new phone # that has not been in use for 2 yrs. They said they would take me off their list.
- Caller: MCC - Common Wealth Financial Systems
- Call type: Debt collector

- annoyedJust got a call from this number. When I answered, an automated message told me I would be connected immediately, then it began ringing. A representative answered, mumbling a terse greeting that sounded like "NCC(?) how may I help you?"
I responded "You tell me; I received this phone call."
They hung up. - JULIE| 1 replyThe man who came on after the recordings said he was from a DA office. I said I would give myself the message.
- KT| 1 replyI have answered, called back and have spoken with these people several times. They are calling my number for the same person everytime, of whom is NOT me. I tell them this everytime and they always say they will remove my number from their calling list...They never have, and they still call all the time.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Seeker| 3 repliesReceived a call from this number and did a reverse look up. Information was that it is an unlisted number in Plano, TX. Maybe it is just me, but no legitimate business would have an unlisted number. It was a recorded message. It gave a number to call (800-848-2170 -- also an unlisted number -- which I now know is also on a nuisance list) and an 8 digit reference number should I be stupid enough to call back.
I have no idea who they are and I have no plans on calling them back to find out. - ??? replies to KTget the address send a certified cease and desist letter if the do not stop after that you can sue
- ??? replies to JULIEit is ILLEGAL for a debt collector to threaten or legal action or represent themselves as attorneys
- curiouswho the heck is MCC common wealth? they call my cell all the time.. called them on my land line phone to see who they are and what they wanted. all I could get was recordings saying all representatives are currently busy please remain on the line and your call will be answered in the order it was received.. well this went on for a good 20 min. finally hung up haven't got time to mess with these jerks. was afraid i was getting charged on my phone bill for this call. does anyone know who they are?
- Caller: mcc common wealth
- AlarmedGot the call, a lady's voice said to "Press 1 for English", stupidly I did. Then, music played and another voice saying, "Please hold...". After a minute, a man came on and said, "Can I help you??"
I said, "Hey, YOU called me ?!"
Silence.
I asked several more times, then hung up. I hope it was not a telephone scam that I've heard about where they get you to push a button, allowing them access to making calls -- long distance or collect.- Caller: ?
- Fed up with Scam artists!!| 2 repliesWe get this call everyday. My husband looked up the 800 number and there was a fraud warning on it. I looked up the number the 214 came from and it is a home phone landline in Plano TX. Do not fall into this scam. Will report them.
- Caller: (214) 427-0032
- GDJ| 1 replyThey collect debt. In my case a credit card debt, from almost 7 years ago which has already been proven stolen identity through Capital One. The only reason they called me was because another company NCO, never updated their records that it was a fraud account, and yet still sold the debt to this other 3rd party company. So that's just it, they are are a 3rd party company that purchases debt and tries to collect. Unless, like in my case where it was stolen identity, you're probably white trash and didn't pay a credit card. And that's why they are calling you.
- Caller: MCC
- Call type: Debt collector
- GDJ replies to Pregnant Texanyou probably didn't pay on a credit card and your past debt was sold to them.
- GDJ replies to Seeker| 2 repliesActually they are located in P.A. They have a switchboard in Plano, TX, you probably owe on a credit card, yeah you probably do.
- GDJ replies to Fed up with Scam artists!!| 1 replyNot a scam, no fraud, you probably owe on a credit card as they are a 3rd party debt collector. I find it funny that most people cry scam when in fact the only reason they would have your info is if in fact they do have a legit claim, or for you, this is a new telephone number. Just pay your bills.
