Daily calls, no messages, idiots

Saw the weird caller ID, didn't answer.

Called during week selling Dallas Morning News subscriptions.  After asking to not be bothered, I get hang up calls from them.

Just the number on my phone...no message.  I tried to call the number to tell them to quit calling, but always got a busy signal.  Obviously nobody with whom I wish to do business.

7/13 8:59pm.  Trying to give away 3 night vacation.  Ask who they were, what they wanted, where they got my number from and remove me from the list.  They said "don't answer the phone if you don't want to talk to someone".

Keeps calling like mad, thought it was one of those financial aid people who also all but trying to give a financial aid packet for money! Hell no. Picked up once, some guy name David I think or can't recall, just been hanging up and turning off my phone...ahh..every minute. My rule: don't pick up unless you know who it is, or at least if the message was so gosh important you would leave a message.

They call every day and leave no message. I hear no voice on the other end
so I hang up. I tried calling back and it was either busy or could not connect.

How do I get this to stop?

Phone companies should be required to provide a CALL BLOCKING Feature on every phone.I've looked at thousands of postings from people who are being annoyed by unwanted calls. We need to form a group and require that phone companies allow us to block this 'new automated sales call' virus. I sleep in the daytime and get woken up everyday (from the same caller) thinking there is a family emergency.

I get a call at least once a day on my cell phone. They never leave a voice mail. I don't want to pick it up.

calls consist of a person calling several times a day never saying a word. Just Listening breathing into the phone and then hanging up.

I don't know who this is but it is not any type of bussiness. If you have a home phone and cell phone. And they get a busytone they will automatically default and call either of the two phones untill you answer> Very strange whatever is going on. Need to get on a federal do not call list.

just received the phone call, didnt realize that they were trying to call me 7 times, for 20 mins...they left a v-mail and some girl just said, HELLO?...i called back from my work phone, and operator answered and said, you call can not be completed as dialed...oh well...

8/16/07--I get calls all day long from 214-430-4267 and after I pick up there is silence for a secod or two, then the phone disconnects.

Why would someone call so many times and not even speak?Some weirdo needs to quit calling>214-430-4267.Thanks Bill for the info.
