Classic SCAM: "You are in trouble, we will come after you." Horrible accent, and it wasn't even a real person calling.

"The very second you receive this message, I need you to leave your work aside and dial a number - the number is 214 444 5822 (I repeat...). Now, if you do not return this call, if I do not hear from you, the only thing I can do is to wish you a happy life as law enforcement team of your state will be soon at your doorstep. Goodbye." Indian accent.

Scam

I just got the same call and message, like an idiot i called back to give em a piece of my mind, got a live person who hung up when I asked for his name, then got the call again, by calling them back, could they get any info that could hurt me in the future?

My caller ID said it came from Texas

This # called me twice today and left a voicemail same as what Paul said above. I really want to get an air horn and blow it in their ear over the phone...of course, this was a recording, but one of these days. UH!  Last week, my son picked up a scam call just to play a trick on them, he held them up by asking a lot of questions, and then said....in a fake accent right back at them, "Oh, I have to go...the chickens are escaping."

hilarious scam. wait till i identify the specific person or the demographic of the person. lol. they are definitely not european. i kill ya with love

Just got a call from this number. Never saw it before so I looked it up. Apparently it's some people running a scam.

I just received 2 calls from this number...it was word for word for "Rem's" message. Definitely a heavy Indian accent.

I jus got that same phone call like 10minutes  ago idk what the hell is there problem calling people's homes an scaring poor elderly people.

They have called me twice today, so far, same message exactly.

That number called me twice this morning, at 7:53 and 8:53. I reported it to the FCC

I received the call just now and I'm at work in my office!

They called twice today, just about one hour apart. The second time they left this voicemail in what seemed to be a computer-generated voice: "444-5822, I repeat: the number is 214-444-5822. Now if you don't return the call or in case if I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing what I can do is wish you happy life as law enforcement team of your state will be soon at your doorstep. Goodbye."

I am a licensed private investigator... I received this call two times today.   First of all the voice is a recording...  He has the voice of someone I know who is Asian, but he would not do such a thing.  Also they are calling from the same number that they are giving us to call back.  Mine said they were the US Treasury Dept.  I must call that number immediately or the law enforcement would come to my door.  I know I would have received something in the mail that I owe the US or something before they would come to the door to arrest me.  LOL... There are several different type of Apps that people are using that when you call the desired number they want you to call they lock into your phone and steal all information and listen to voicemail's, read your emails, and listen to phone calls.  Here is a place that has a similar app, I am not sure if they get you on the call but I know there are some out there that need you to call the number to hook you in their app. http://www.appszoom.com/android_applications/ ... cker_cgcgs.html
My Suggestion:  Do Not Call That Number Back.

received this call today on the answering machine. Says to call this number back or the law enforcement from our state will be at your door.  Total BS. Heavy accent bad Engilsh.

My father in law received a call from these people yesterday. They said there were the treasury dept. They told him the police were coming to his house, he said "great let them come, I haven't done anything wrong." And hung up on them.
SCAM

Called back the number and when someone came on the line I called them every name in the book. The scammer hang up the phone.
