I also received a business call from this number.  Katherine wanted to know who was in charge of the IT Budget.  After I spent several minutes providing names to her, she still insisted on speaking to my boss (not involved in the process).

When I told her I was sending an email to all involed explaining what she wanted and listing her telephone number, she said "okay" and hung up.

Several people called from this number asking for the IT Dept.  They claim to be with a company called Sementric.

Although they spoke with someone from that dept, they called back and said that they received voice mail.

When they had called the other day, the caller became upset and started using foul language.

I work at a large furniture company's home office.  They started calling last week and call reception at least 10 times a day.  They ask for anyone and any department they can think of.  Sometimes it's a man and sometimes a woman but always the same two people.  They refuse to leave messages and constantly come back to the switchboard.  I am ready to file against them but can't figure out who they are without paying to find out who pays for the landline they call from.  Please let me know if anyone has other information.

Has called us several times wanting to speak with someone in our IT department that deals with Identity Management. Then called back several additional times and tried to get through my co-worker to someone as well. First a girl with a foreign accent then a guy. We suspect them to be phishing for company and personnel information and when we don't give them anything they get more demanding or aggravated.

foreign woman called for i.t., always goes to vm i explained. she then asked for the finance dept. i explained vm as well and she became upset.
i stated if this is a legitimate business deal, they can leave a call back number and the call would be returned if there was interest.
she yelled "are you crazy"? which made me laugh and ask who and why they were calling.
she said i am "michelle obama" which made me laugh even harder and remind her mrs. obama was born in the states and has no accent .
    she hung up.

Same as what other people have said.  They cannot answer questions they only ask questions.  After I hung up on them for being rude and never answering "What is this call regarding?" the switchboard insta-dials us up again.  I continue hanging up, 7-8 times.  Finally I picked up and explained to them that I was really bored at work and this was kinda fun hanging up on them over and over and I invited them to call as often as they wanted....the calls stopped.

The moment I answered with my first name, the caller stated my last name. That was creepy. He was looking to confirm my boss's information to invite him to a convention. The company they claimed the convention was for TIEC Global. (No such company when Googled). I did not release any information as these people have called everyday for the past week. Since our numbers are registered under DONOTCALL.gov I turned in a report for each time.

I have received numerous calls from this number, and they refuse to leave a message...just continuously coming back to the switchboard asking for the name of anyone here they can think of. I asked for the name of the company, and apparently it was Mary Ann from Trec.com, and they were attempting to send an invite for a seminar. I asked to be removed from their list. Let's see if they follow through...or if I'll have to file a notice to ceases and desist...

In contrast to all what you have said, and I spoke with a girl asking for a question which seems to be so professional and polite to what she was inquiring about. In a very good manner I provided her all the information that she want, since she started my day with a smile. She greeted me "have a nice day" and I respond the same. She also mention that she was also calling from TREC. She even spelled out to me the name of their company.

IT always takes two to tango, if the operator gets rude then that's the time when the person who called gets rude in return.. after asking if they can be routed to whatever Department and then the operator answered they won't transfer the call and they just hung-up. The person who called you will return the call and started being rude. Get it?.. That's what happened when someone called here in our company and one of the operators just hang up and the person who called, return a call and said if there is a possibility to transfer her call but the operator just laugh and hang up again. So the poor girl called and that's the time when she said nasty things, see? you can't blame them. You don't have to be rude to them because they're just doing their jobs. The operator in my story is my co-operator...

Honestly I wandering with those bad comments up there. I worked as telemarketer before and I do make calls. Sometimes hanged up the phone and sometimes when you asked them a question they hangup up the phone even when your not done yet sounds horrible right? very rude right? honestly American are [***] the assume all callers are telemarketers or are selling something.

Samuels, its clear that your post is a bad attempt to legitimize the calls from 2144469834. Your post is poorly written, your English is poor, and your logic is non-existent.  The calls from this number are for phishing purposes only.
They have called our company for about a week always requesting to verify contact info, even after we tell them that we are not interested in the web seminar. You should learn to use the English language better before bashing Americans
