Received call asking to except an emergency call....there was then no one there and when I tried to callback I got a roaming request

I too received a emergency call, when they said the call was collect from :____"  it was a little garbled, but sounded like the name of a family member who was travelling.  When I took the call, I couldn't understand the person and told them they had the wrong number.  I then had a text msg saying the call cost 9.99. It gave an 888 number.  A little later, I got another call from the same number offering phone minutes, and it would supposedly cost $9.99 to accept. I hung up.

I got a similar call from the same number. Says its an Emergency Collect Call from ___ john or something garbled and raspy. Once you say anything it will say something like. "Thank you, it will be $2.99 for the call, then $1.99 for each additional minute."

They have called like 5 times now since about 6pm last night. Today it sounded like my voicemail accepted one of these calls.

I think this is a scam.

I just got a call from this number as well.  The name of the person calling was muffled so I hung up.  The cost of accepting was going to be $9.  I think this is a scam as well.

They call atleast three to four times a day, they dont leave a message, so rude people, calling early morning arount 6AM and even as late as 9pm. They identified as National Asset Recovery a Debt collecting agency. They call from these two numbers 214-473-5517 and 214-473-4243
