a adult man  from this phone number called and asked for my MINOR daughter and then hung up.  I am convinced that after reading the other two posts that this is a child predator.  @AS....if you read this..please post back and we can compare notes.

When I get a call from this number.. its says on the ID TEXAS.. and no one will talk. I called it back and got stupid answering machine, and told it to "knock off calling my house"

Just got one too, ID TEXAS, I said hello and no reply. I guess he did,nt want to talk to a 56yr old ex prison guard!

Called and asked for my 18 year old son one evening, who wasn't home, then called the next day and asked for my minor daughter the next day.  Freaks me out.  DK the number, called it back and it either is busy or no answer.  Freaks me out.

Just got a call from this number, asked for my grandson and then hung up on him. Weird.

This is a scam - I think they have gotten a list from the schools!!!!  My daughter has her cell phone listed with the school - this number called her yesterday to purchase a plaque.  She told them yes not and to send it to me.  Today I get a COD delivery in an envelope 8 1/2 x 11 to Emily @ her high school (our home address) and since she wasn't home & I didn't realize what was going on... I'm out 39.90 for a plaque that is probably worth $2.00

My cell is published in the school directory too. Called back, no answer. They did not leave a message. They have been calling a lot here lately. My kids do use my cell as well.

This number called me around the same time 2 days in a row & when I say hello I get no answer for about 10 seconds & then hang up. I called back & I guy answered & I explained what had happened & he hung up on me.

I will be blocking the number now.

Received several calls from this person he asked for my daughter by name as if he was a friend. He said his name was steven garza and asked that I let her know that he called.  We tried several times to call him back but it goes to an answering machine. After reading the other posts and having received 4 other calls from him without a message left and calls from direct buy suddenly starting at the same time I believe our school gave out our contact numbers which was my cell....I have my phone listed on the National and State Do Not Call list and have had it on there for over a year so the school and my doctor are the only others that have that number. So start making some noise at your childs school for giving out the phone list.

this man is a predator. The name Darren Button comes up when you search, this man is a registered sex offender in Dallas. Please report his calls asking for minor children to your local police department.

My Minor daughter keeps getting these calls but its a different number 214-283-9898 regarding parent appreciation and wanted my daughter's cell phone number. I called the number back and did reach someone who really could not give me any explanation and therefore I insisted to remove my emergency contact number and to call my cell number.

This number has called the house 4 times in the past week. a girl names christine called about breakfast parent appreciation and wanted to know if she would like to participate in the school function and this is what im reading this is not cool. the girl even repeated the number, stop these calls please they are calling the house.

Geez folks. Do you not know how to just ignore a call from a bogus caller ID? You get all worked up about a bogus telemarketer. They don't have any real info on you that isn't a public record. Just hang up or better yet, Don't Answer.

Sara, you need to double check your facts. If you are certain, then provide the proof that a bogus telemarketing call is really the accused. Geez, do you see sex offenders hiding in your hedges too?

I received a call from this number last night but didn't answer it.  Called it from a phone at work and an adult man answered.  I just claimed to have the wrong number.  This is not cool!  Spreading the word to my friends and co-workers not to answer calls from this number.
