This number is calling my cell phone and threatening me with unwanted calls about something that i dont know about. I have reported him to the authorities and to our Attorney General in my state. THis is a fraud the police states.

I was contacted and left very harrassing message which also is in violation with the third party privacy laws. I return the call and was refused any information regarding to what case he was referring to. Informed him I have several attorneys so I would like to know to what matter is this call regarding. Gentleman on the phone said he was calling from the Law offices of Dallas. Skip trace the number it is a landline number in MCKINNEY, TX. with SOUTHWESTERN BELL. I also told him if he called my number again I would be reporting him to the FBI for harassement and fraudlently impersonating an attorney. He threaten me that he knows where I work and will send the policed to arrest me if we don't talk or if I don't give hime my attorney information. I ended the call. They have called about five times today.

I received the same threatening phone call about an hour ago. I was frightened because they has all my info: Place of Work, Banker, Last 4-Digits of Social Security. I was confronted very aggressively where the lady, Erica, read me an Affidavit of Law Suit. She also claimed to be sending police to my home and/or job. When I ask for more information of the supposed 'payday loan' (EX: Date Applied For, Amount Credited, Email Proof) she became irate and just stated "You have 48 hours and you're going to JAIL for your check frauds and delinquent payment!" I called back and somehow I was directed to the lady without giving her name or mine. I simply said I was on the phone with someone in your office and she hung up in my face and the associate knew who to direct me to. That's when I knew my identity is on the line of being stolen. I reported them to the authorities in my town as well.

Good, just report them. They somehow got a hold of the last 4 digits of your ss number. You should put an alert on your credit as well.

This is a huge scam! I received the same call. A man named Michael Thompson with a thick Indian accent called my cell threatening to have the authorities sent to my home. I had no idea what lawsuit he was referring to...because there is none! I don't know much about law procedures, but I know that this is a big scam!

I am receiving threatening phone calls at work and cell phone. Lady was rude and aggressive. Would not give me any information and when I told her my husband was an attorney she says "are you threatening me?" And became even MORE threatening. Who do I need to contact?

You should've told her any coward can hide behind a phone or a computer and can threaten people but when it comes to a confrontation, the coward will tuck his/tail and flee faster than a hyena. Ignore that garbage bag, and block it.

I was just called by this number and told that I was being brought to court by a payday loan company. I called the only payday loan place that I currently have a loan with and they said that everything was okay between me and them....and that they had not reported me. I called back and they were very aggressive and rude and said "give me 24 hours and I will have the court papers sent out to you and bla bla bla". I hung up on them.

I just got a call from the same number they have been calling me 10 times a day for months stating I was going to jail...today however, when I answered all they said was "hey [***]"...I hung up

Pull your credit report. Your identity may have been stolen. Hackers have recently stolen SC taxpayers' information and are selling them on the black market.

I have received literally over 50 continuous calls today alone from an indian man calling himself Adrian Walker,  Peter Smith and Brandon Smith threatening to have me arrested,telling me I owe this attorney money.  When I told him I would not send one cent to him and I was going to file a harrassment suit against him, he told me he was going to get me fired.  I have no idea how to get rid of this psycho, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

If you get a call from them, hang up.   This is not legit.  I called them 3 times, when I say I'm a Reporter, they hang up on me.

I received a horrible phone call from this number yesterday while I was at work, However prior to that call I have been getting calls from this number for about a month and no one says anything or it's just half a message so I have been disregarding the calls, until yesterday, This women picks up and says her name is Jodi and she tells me that she has an arrest warrant for me and she will be sending the cops and marshall  to me becasue I owe 691.23 from a payday loan, now mind you I only took out a payday loan in the summer I paid them off in 3 payments and I have my proof and this woman was not trying to hear that. She was agressive and nasty I actually broke down at my desk and wind up calling the 13th precinct and spoke with a detective as I was speaking to the detective he was so nice and calming he told me to google the number and to see what comes up and all of you guys are saying and said was right on point. I cant beleive a place would do something like this to people and do it on a daily basis. It's not only cruel and wrong but heartless. The indian woman on the other end whose name changed all of a sudden to Rose Gilbert said she was going to give me 45 minutes to get the money and send it to them. When she called back I told her your a scam and a b***ch and I hope you rot in hell for what you are doing and hung up. Today they have called only once and his name was mark and he left a nasty message so I sm going to just record everything that is going on with them unti they decide to stop calling. They are full of crap and I can't believe that they have people that do this.

This dude named keith called me and I cant catch his last name and said I took a pay day loan out. But here is the thing,i never got the money in my accound. I closed it once I learned their was a scam going on. They called me I said no I didnt want it. But now they,want me to pay $989.27 . But they said if I dont pay it I will have a warrent 4 my arrest. I know its a scam cause when I call the num its busy.  If u get this num trust me the voice will ecco and u will hear everything u said repeated. I mean they fooled nd but not enough to send money to them.

I recieved a call at work from a man with a thick accent he said a suit was being filed and when I asked the details as to who was suing me, he said that he could not give that information and had to transfer me to another department, I told him I was recording his call and he hung up.

My husband and have been getting harrassing phone calls from this number for weeks. They are extremely rude and threaten to have us arrested. I called my local police department and talked to a detective and he said that they cannot take a warrent out on us over a payday loan and i also spoke to my loan company and we r completely paid up and that even if we were delinquit on our payments they wouldnt threaten us like that.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- If you are getting harassing phone calls from people saying they are from the “Law Firm of Dallas” at the number 214-491-5780, the FBI says you should say, “I know this is a scam and I am reporting your number.”

NBC Charlotte has heard from dozens of people who are getting these calls, in which they say, you still owe money from an old loan. This is also called the “Payday Loan Ruse.”

The amounts you “owe” vary, but usually fall between $275 and $400.  These callers usually speak with a foreign accent and sounds on the line lead receivers to believe the call is originating in a foreign country.

If they tell you they are in Dallas and if they give you an address, please know they are giving you actual places, but they are not calling from there. NBC Charlotte called this number back five times and told them we were reporting them to the authorities.

As soon as we identified ourselves as reporters, they yelled at us and hung up.

Colleen Moss, Supervisory Special Agent of Cyber Crime here at the Charlotte field office of the FBI, said, “Do not give them credit card information and do not wire them money.”

These callers are very aggressive and are telling people they will be sued or arrested if they do not pay.
