It's a call from American Air Duct Cleaning.  After a couple of days of continual calls, with no message left on the answering machine, I decided to find out who was calling.  It's just a sales pitch for air duct cleaning with a "terrific offer in your area".  Nice gentleman on the phone, but I declined their "terrific offer"... then blocked the number.

    PLEASED!
Its Advanced Air Duct and Carpet Care. I took advantage of their specials they had. They came out and did a GREAT job! They even cleaned my carpet for FREE!. I am so happy that I did this. very affordable! I will keep going back to them!

Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will more of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action.  If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them.  If you really want to block them – there is software available that a layman can install.
PS:  I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!

Received 5 calls from these jokers this week.

Talked to the guy and told him to put me on the 'Do-Not-Call' list and he said "I don't know if we have one."  Told him that he had better get one started because he's in violation of the Federal and State DNC lists.

He hung up on me there.

This number 214-516-6179  called today showing no ID except the number. The same company "Advanced Air Duct" called 4 days ago using  972-332-0496. I have blocked both numbers.

Yes,same sales pitch for duct cleaning. Told them I had it done recently, which is true. She really tried to push carpet cleaning off on me. I told her I don't have carpet, which is also true.

She said something about me being set for two years and told me they won't call back until then.
