Non stop pressure from these numbers to provide personal information and they will call back if I hang up on them. This time, the first number called once, the second called twice and the third called twice...back to back.

Multiple calls, no messages; I googled the phone number and got this page; when you do a reverse lookup it shows a "cell phone" number. Right...

I tried calling back at a random time, and a person named "A.J." answered the phone...

"A.J" just answered when I called too. I asked if it was a business and he said he was with "Sallie Mae".

I hate them!!!!

Two calls today from 214-551-3923 saying that a Michael Thomas has used us as a reference in his application for a student loan.  We have no idea who Michael Thomas is!  And in Googling this number found this website.  Obviously this is a scam of some sort.

Theyre persistent. It's SALLIE MAE!!!

So annoying, I continuously send them to voice mail and they still call. How annoying. I hate them.

Been receiving calls from this number on my cell and at home repeatedly.  My father has also been receiving calls from this number.  I googled the number and found this website.  It's Sallie Mae.  Completely legit.  I have a loan through them but when I explained the situation...stay at home mom with a husband in the Army...waiting for his bonus to pay things down, the chick yelled at me.  So I hung up on her...she called back several times and hung up each time it went to voicemail.

This is Sallie Mae looking to collect on delinquent loans

This person calls saying they are in some state other than Texas where the Caller ID identifies them from and swears they are calling from a land line in Sallie Mae. I said if that was true then your number would show up a 1-800 or 1-866 number and I could believe it was them. Yet they continue to call from this number and never leave a message. This is not the first cell phone they have called us from either.

This number calls me dozens of times in a day. Usually three or four times within a half hour period, there is either no answer, or it says "All of our agents are busy helping other customers, press 1 to continue holding, I pressed 1 every 15 seconds about 10 times and then they finally told me "Goodbye" and it hung up on me, when I call the number back, I get a busy signal.

This is either Sallie May or a debt collection firm working for them.

Once your number gets on their list, good luck getting it off.  I've no loan with them, but my son in Iraq does.  Explaining this to them makes no difference.  If you can block their number via your phone company, do it.
