I got called on my home phone here in Hoston AT LEAST 9 times last night ranging from 12AM to 5AM.  Each time I heard a spanish woman but the reception was off and I couldn't understand what she was saying.  Luckily, my husband speaks spanish. About the third phone call he started messing with them by singing crazy songs in spanish to which they replied, F* You, F*U.  By the last call, my husband irritated them to the point THEY hung up on US. This experience was tiring but really funny.  Hopefully they don't call back.

I gave a tossable digit to a scammer from nigeria. He called using this number.

Disconnects once you say hello. When you try to call back, got a recorded message saying to please wait while they try to connect the call. Then the next you hear is music.

After doing some research on this number, I contact my phone provider and notify them of this issue. They'll be monitor this # for any illegal activities and charges to my #. Also, they'll be monitoring this # for their customers as well.

I had the same experience.  Missed a call then returned it and got the message: 'please wait while we connect your call' and trans music.  Hung up after a minute.  I will also call my service provider to inform them of this fishy number.

I received a message from someone in Nigeria last week, maybe this has something to do with this??

Just got a call from this number and they didn't leave a message.  Sounds like a fishy number; I would advise anyone receiving calls from this number NOT to answer and NOT to call back.  They could be collecting info on working numbers.

I get calls from my fiancee from this number.  It is a routing number that is used from land lines and cell lines in Mexico City.  No need to worry, at least from me!

yeah i got a call from this number today too and it was so weird. it was someone who i hadnt spoke to in 4 years (ex-friend) and dallas is my ex-husband's hometown. this girl talked s**t about me all through college and i thought maybe she had somehow seen/spoke to my ex husband and i thought maybe she was there. i freaked and checked out the number online and thank god it turned out to be a freak accident!

related to law and order like police?
I am wondering if the govt. is tapping the phone?

I got the same call this morning at 4:00 am but didn't call back.

Received 3 calls to my desktop fax # from 214-586-0999 at 2:06am, 2:10am, and 2:24am.  This fax # has been mine for 2 years.  I hope they got an earful of the wonderful fax tone.

Immediately before receiving a call identified as 214 586 0999 on my cellphones caller ID I received a call with no caller ID.

Then a second call was received identified as 214 586 0999.

I picked up both 214 calls but ignored the first unidentified call, as is my habit.

No one spoke, no synthesized voice, no music, no recording - at least in the first 10 seconds.

So I hung up on both calls.

Received a call from 214 586 0999 yesterday morning. I didnt answer it as it didnt look familar. Immediately after that I received a call with UNKOWN NUMBER. Answer that one, it was from my finacee in Brazil who asked why I didnt pick up the phone the first time.

It has to be some sort of ANI glitch from inbound international calls....

My cell phone received this number 2:00am last night, I didn't answer it. Right after that, my house internet phone started ringing and this number shows up my caller ID.

Yeah, i get got the same calls forn teh same number everyone use is saying. WTF

Hello I received a missed call today around 9:33am this morning. I didn't call back at the time since I didn't recognize the number. I'd thought I'd wait a return call if it was important. Then at 12:08pm I received a "no number" call. I thought maybe is emergency and returned the caller ID # above that appeared on my phone from previous missed call, and some techno music just plays!!! This is one of many few and very odd scary calls I've been receiving. Can anyone explain whats going on???

The caller just calls and gives u missed calls. I tried to get back thinking its someone i know, but the message says please wait till u are connected and gets into long music so I disconnect. I searched on the net and just came across this and noted that many others too got this call.

I recieved a call from this number today (1-214-586-0999), which was then followed by 3 unidentifiable calls.  I live in Huntington Beach, CA.  Does anyone know anything more about this number?
