Caller ID says Cellular Call. No one on line. Line disconnects after a few seconds of empty air time. Number just rings when you call it back. They've called three times in the last three days.

Called twice already this morning. Line disconnects when I answer.

Called asking for "Mike". Once told he isn't in the office, just hangs up. When I called the number 1-214-612-0000 back, it is either busy or no one answers.

They asked if someone was in and they were not and then asked if I was in collections and then hung up on me.

Called 3 times here today...first 2 times I let the machine pick it up, the third time I answered and heard a click....imagine that?!?  Comes up on caller id as "Out of Area".  

This is a business. They called here offering their services as a debt collector. They are extremely RUDE!!!!! I would not let them speak to the president of the company and he told me he said, "don't make me come down there"! What a jerk. Even if I needed a collector, I would never put my clients in the hands of a monster like that. My advice is, If you see this number on your caller ID, just don't answer it.

Calls and asks for the company owner, then hangs up on me when I tell him he isn't in. I tried to call him back, let it ring for several minutes but he disconnected the call.

Calls multiple times a day. No one on the line. Very frustrating.

As others have reported, called asking for Mike.  Funny thing is our Mike retired 3 yrs. ago.  When I asked what it was regarding he said accounts receivable.  I asked for a particular customer name and he said they take care of all customers that don't pay us. I told him we are a small company and handle all collections ourselves.  I said we weren't interested and began to nicely ask that they take our name and # off list when he interrupted me and said, "Don't you dare hang up on me!".  Extremely rude.  Why doesn't the Do Not Call list work for these callers that take up so much of our time?  Very frustrating.

This customer is nothing but a solicitor. If he is not given the person he asks for he immediately hangs up on you. This is very rude and unprofessional. Are companies so desperate to hire rude unprofessional workers??? What a shame!!!

These people call everyday asking for my boss, which is never in the office...which I have explained. The man on the other end is extremely rude. How can I get them to stop calling.

Does your company have a tech department? I'm sure they run the PBX system for your telephones. Ask them to block it. Being a business I can't/wouldn't suggest call blocking. Only other suggestion is to tell them he'll answer the phone, & then send them to voice mail H - E - double hockey sticks.

Called asking for our owner by name. When I asked who was calling he said Joe with EWA and that he was supposed to call at 8:30. When I told him that our owner was not expecting any calls from Joe at EWA he hung up.

Just as the others, I received two calls from this number this morning as I sit at my desk in the office.  Both times when I answered, there was just a dial tone.  When I called the number, back the recording said, "Please leave a message for mailbox #19726380000" and I did asking them not to bother calling anymore if they can't even identify themselves.  Terribly annoying people.

All of the above, this #does to us too. So far no one has answered b/c they are computer generated calls. Why can all these kinds of callers get away with this? I was in an actual AT&T store and they get these calls too.
   How can we all get some relief from these calls?

"Brian" called today with an immediate rude attitude. Caller id said Red Oak.

He was trying to offer services for debt collections. When my boss told him we did not have a need for these services, he was very hostile and unbelieving of what he heard. He was almost calling my boss a liar. Very rude business practices.

So, I guess posting our experience is just that. We still don't have a way to stop these bottom feeders.

A guy named Sam called asking for Mike who is the owner of our company.  He said he was with a trucking company named Slaughter & Sons.  I told him that Mike didn't handle any shipping decisions and wouldn't take his call.  He then started to get rude and lied that he was returning a call.  Click.

"Jonathan O'brien" of Obrien Co. called asking (by name) for the owner.  Said it was regarding the JT Baker Project.  Offered to take a message, as our owner is not involved with any such project, said he'd call back later.  Good luck with that!
