- BaddingClaims he was a court official and needed to serve court documents. When I told him I knew he was a debt collector and that impersonating a court official could land him in court, he admitted he was trying to collect on behalf of a collection agency and asked if I knew this person and would I pass on the message.
- Janet GannClaims they're from County Clerks Office with claims filed against me immediately, they never stated in referance to anything, and stated I would be persued at my residence and at work.

- Someone who has had their identity stoleThese people are frauds. They are never to leave any information of any personal information on a message. There are so many scams out there now claiming this. They need to be reported to the federal trade commission. They are usually foreigners and can not speak English. Do not talk to these people and do not give the any information. When you ask for information they never send it. They are required to send it.
- 10 months of nonsenseFrauds. Foreigners. Calling non-stop since March 2015, no one has ever come to my door or sent me anything. They just keep calling my work and mobile #. This man could barely read his script he was so foreign. Wanted me to call back at 877-436-4681. Blocked both. CROOKS! I have excellent credit and very little patience for this nonsense.
- Caller: too foreign to understand

- Frustratedhave recieved these calls numerous times...they are either with the State of Texas and have file a claim against me that I can "settle out of court" by calling them back, or they are with the IRS and I will have my home siezed tomorrow morning if I don't return their call immediately and solve this before close fo business today. They are a scam!! I reported them to the IRS and they confirmed this is a scam. Nothing every happens except frustrating phone calls....ignore them if you get them.
- DianaThese people call my cell, my husbands cell, my moms home and one of my brothers home phones. They are claiming to be Capital Indemnity Solutions and I will be served at work or home. I finally called back once to tell them to send me the info backing up their claim. I was told I'm wasting their time and if I call back they will send me to the sheriffs office. I asked please send me there so I can know what is going on. Of course then they hang up. I still am receiving calls but no messages. I have reported to no call registry and bbb. Fcc won't take this type of complaint. I am at my wits end especially since they call my elderly mom almost everyday. I have yet to block this one since my mom has been involved.

- ilr1950| 1 replyCalled at work twice, threatened 'court action', on a supposed debt from a bank I never heard of, let alone did business with, that was from 1996. The statute of limitations for a credit card debt in Texas is four years. About 2 weeks later, had voice mail from the same company, called back, and before the woman could start talking I gave her the information, that the debt was over 20 years old and the statute of limitations was four years. She apparently didnt even know what a statute of limitations was. Sheesh!

- BigA replies to ilr1950SOL has to do with the time they have to sue you, not the time they have to collect the debt. Now here is the problem. After they called you the first time, they were required by law to send you a letter. I sounds like they didn't. So that is their first FDCPA violation right there. Continued collection activity the second.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
