Unrelenting in their calling.  Tried calling back and got a message that it was a disconnected or changed number, yet they called me at least twice this afternoon. I didn't answer.

Got a call from a TX number, thought it was my grandson.  No!  It was a scammer who I then had lots of fun with.  Called him out, he said "I'm sorry if you don't understand our intention, it is only our intention to give you the best customer service."  Yeah, right.

    Caller ID said "cell phone"

They claimed to be calling from the Windows Technical Department for Microsoft, claiming that my computer had been infected with viruses and malware and that they'd been receiving messages from my computer indicating it had been infected.

These folks, who claimed to work for Microsoft, didn't know where Microsoft was headquartered, didn't know what the IP address of my computer was, didn't know what specific "messages" they'd received from my computer were . . . I'm sure you get the idea.

Oh yeah, and both the "guy" who first called and his supposed supervisor, who both had normal western sounding names, had foreign accents thick enough to make communication nearly impossible..

Have fun with them.  As long as you don't follow their instructions and give them online access to your computer or any personal information you can turn it into a fairly entertaining phone call.

Well, they're still at it.  Yesterday afternoon we were receiving calls every 30 minutes from the TX cell.  When I finally answered I got several clicks and a female voice saying goodbye.  Tried a call back but received a Verizon wireless message the this was a disconnect number.  We haven't received a call from that number since.
