it's a phone # contracted out by a phone company in alot of different State's
My Husband called me from this 214 969 5489 # he is in a State Park in Georgia and i looked it up it's a Pay phone #

I guess this is a # contracted out of Texas that Pay phone's in a few state's use this # 214 969 5849

A friend of mine traveling on the road (on vacation)with her family called from this payphone number today at 6:37pm. She said there was no cell phone service where she was and to please call her back ASAP at this number/pay phone.She did not give an area code when she left her messege so I looked at my caller ID unit.
I tried to reach her for over an hour at this number but it was continuously busy.
Worried about my friend I called the camp ground they were supposed to check into. This number is in fact a payphone at that camp ground that does not take incomming calls, always gives a busy signal.
The camp ground sub-leases the pay phones thay have.
The phone is located at Happy Holidays Campground in Cherokee,NC.

I have also recieved a call from this number,it was like midnight called back and only got a busy signal.As I was looking for information on this number i was just thinking we must have something in common think about if all these people are getting calls from the same number,sounds a little weird to me don't you

this number is a pay phone in harrisburg, pa, you cannot call back it just gives a busy tone.

Last night and this morning (12-9-07) I received about 10 prank calls from 5 different #s including 214-969-5489 and phone numbers from area codes 706 and 252. All the calls sounded like the same person. I originally thought it was just someone that I knew messing with me. I live in Greenville, NC could the pay phones here have that number?

this is simple. many pay phones are owned by one company, they all have different exchanges. my boy freind is a truck driver, i dropped him off at this rig and 15 min later he called me from this number, he was still at the truck stop in ohio where i dropped him off. if someone is using a calling card the blocks of numbers will show up in a similar manner. this is not the big mystery we would like it too be. if a telephone is owned by xyz company you could receive many calls from the same number by different phones.

My BF is a trucker also and he called from a payphone in Oregon....so the answer is it's a payphone from anywhere USA!

I got this same phone number on my cell phone. My fiance called me from a rehab center in North Carolina. I think its just a general extension!
