I got a call too. 214 is Texas and my caller id said it was ILD Comm. It's a telephone service company.
All the other posts that said it's a payphone in Ill and Calif are wrong. The area code is Texas.

My husband is in a local hospital currently and I got a COLLECT call supposedly from him from this number. They called 3 times and I hung up on them and they finally quit calling.
They must be making money on this or else why would they do it?

i called this number and it rang like 100 times and i just hung up!what happened was i got a miss call and it was from this number than my grandma got the same call and answer it and falled for there asking of her credit card number and right after she gave it to them the person  hung up. so i looked it up.

This number is a payphone routed thru this number...husband called from NC and this is a Dallas area #

My boy lives in Iowa and he just called me from that # which was a payphone that allows incoming calls...yeah i told him the area code was texas and we were both clueless anyway hope that helps

It is from a payphone....My son called and it was from NH being routed through Texas.

My friends called me from this 214 969 5489 and they claim to be in atlanta

I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM MY KIDS DAD. HE IS CURRENTLY IN LAS VEGAS, NV AND HE SAID HE WAS AT WORK. 214-969-5496 WAS THE NUMBER.... HMMM TEXAS AREA CODE. I KNOW IT WAS A PAY PHONE OF SOME SORT. I TRIED CALLING IT BACK AND IT WAS EITHER BUSY OR RANG FOREVER. THE CALLER ID SAID ILD COMM SO I DID A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND CAME ACROSS THIS SITE..... NUTS.

I just got a call from that number...its a number from Angleton, Tx.

when it called me, it asked me if i would accept the charges of an inmate calling from that number.

I got a call from this number at 9:51am.
I've checked on many other sites with people saying that there was a woman claiming to be different people.
This was a missed call but it's creeping me out. I live in Raleigh, NC.

2 Calls I did not answer because I didn't know the number..  didn't call it back instead I looked online.. it is obviously a pay phon company or a calling card company.

My wife answered a collect call from this number, asking for my first and last name. She did not accept. Good choice.

"ILD Comm" was on my caller ID associated with this number. It was a collect call and I'm fairly sure the person calling was somewhere between Nevada and California, They were traveling from Carson City Nevada to Santa Rosa, Calif.
I believe this is a trunk line which means a person could be calling from anywhere and you'd never really know. So, if your guy or gal calls collect and say they are one place and your caller ID says another, believe your friend. Their call could be routed through Timbuktu!!!

Got a call from my girlfriend this morning from this number. I know that she is in texas, most likely houston. tried to call back and it rang for several minutes, then just a busy signal........

214-969-5489 is a payphone,its 1 number directed to any of the same brand payphones in every state..theres no way you could get the same 1 unless u call a trillion times none stop, trust me i know..next time they call [if you know the person] ask them for the number posted in front of them so you could call back, otherwise you cant contact them unless they keep calling you.
