- Caller: US tresurer

- Call type: Telemarketer
- kelly TressI keep getting calls from 215-000-1252 # a few x's a day. I refuse to answer #'s I recognize. They won't leave a voicemail and the # wouldn't go through when I called it back. I'm guessing it's from a career center or college since I'm signed up to several employment centers. This # is now on my reject caller list!
- Just Someone replies to MakaylaYOU were wasting HIS time? HE called YOU!! HAHAHAHA
- Just SomeoneCalled my magic jack today. I don't use mj for anything but internet stuff so I never answer the calls anyway. such weird numbers.
- MidNYteStormFirst, 000 is not a valid prefix. Second, answering these calls simply confirms you have a working number. Ignore calls like this and any other caller you are not familiar with.
- austinaggieI've blocked it. From what I've read in the comments here sounds like calls I kept getting last summer. Although those were from 212 area code (DC).
- auntie pitaCalled offering a $9,000 grant... I told him I am on the do not call list and he hung up.
- David| 1 replyGot a call from a lady with a terrible Middle East accent named "aijla" from the United States government grant department about being 1 of 3000 selected for a $1,000 grant from the government for being a "good citizen" and paying my bills on time. 3 ways I can collect: checking account, savings account, or a debit/atm card. I played along and she gave me a code to use at western union which was a letter (T) and 3 numbers and a call back number which to call after I hang up with her yo "confirm" all my information. After I asked her for her badge/id number so k can run it by the government to make sure it's legit and send them a copy of the call which I was "recording" she hung up.
- Caller: U.S. government grant department
- Justin Case replies to DavidSome of these numbers you should be able to figure out they're nothing good just by how they appear on your ID. Any number with a 0 or 1 in the first or fourth digit is not valid in North America, meaning it's spoofed and likely coming from overseas. The "free government grants" are nothing more than a phishing scam, aiming to get your personal and financial information.
- BruceGot a call from this number 2 days in a row. Didn't answer as I get a lot of crap calls so I wait for the VM. And course I recognized that 000 probably wasn't legitimate, wish number spoofing services would become illegal as there is no good reason to be able to do it.
- Ter| 1 replyI got a call telling me that I was "chosen" too and would receive 9,000. How can we stop this other than blocking the #?
- Caller: U.S. Grants
- Tamianth replies to TerThe only thing you can do is to block them. Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. If you have a newer call blocking device that handles area codes, then block the area code providing you don't have family in those areas.

http://www.usa.gov/ - Lisa WhiteAfter my 12 yr old daughter asked them to take name of list, the make caller preceded to tell her where he was going to place his finger and what he was going to do. Why do these company's continue to make these calls.
- Texas replies to MakaylaThis just happened to me actually. They called asking for me saying I was selected by the government to receive a $9000 grant. After I laughed and asked who they were with, they hung up.
- AlexJust got phone call with offer of 9000 dollars free from the government. The person had some of my information but was asking me for back account number for them to transfer money. Ha ha.
I told the poorly dialect person on the line. You know so much about me therefore you know where I live so please deliver the money yourself. Id like the money in small un-sequential bills to my house and leave on front door step right next to my pet fluffy. Fluffy is a crock.- Caller: The Federal Reserve
- SteveI don't answer these calls but it makes me wonder why our gov't allows this harassment. You know the phone companies know who is making these calls and doesn't shut them down. This is a "cry wolf" scenario; I've had family members not answer my call because they didn't recognize the number.
- Rita Welterthis was scarey
