This number along with quite a few others, hangs up when answered.  A law needs to be created against this.  I believe it is a way to get around the "do not call" program.  Also, what is the point of this type of call when no one is there??  I don't owe anyone anything, so debt collectors have no reason to be calling my phone.  I have more important things to do than run for a call that is for nothing.....just as I'm typing this..low and behold, a call from OHIO...513-754-9863 called..and no answer!!!!!!    Just as my name.reads..Im SICKNTIRED!!!

just got a call from the same number and  get the same call from 2 other numbers, phone rings and no one is there. strangely enough when i call it back i get a message that the number is out of service?? how is that possible?

Call on my cell phone from 215-056-7466.   No message left.   Saw on internet that they call other cell phones as well.

quite annoying automated calls. Seems like more every week even though i'm on do not call lists. . I've stopped answering numbers I don't recognize. Where is the do not call enforcement?

Hey caller 215-056-7466.......The phone is a communication tool. Calling to hang up is as effective as sky writing at midnight when no one can read it.  Why not try that method.

Just got a call from 215-056-7466 and answered it.  Christy, on the line said she was calling to help reduce my PECO bill.  She was calling from a company that represents 30 different energy companies attempting to help me save on my electric bill.  She wanted to know the amount I was paying for generation charges (I have 2...0.07830 & 0.08360 and how many kwh's.  When she asked me for my account number, I asked her why she needed it...her reply was to see what the best discount I could get from the 30 companies she represents...

Needless to say I didn't give her my number and asked for her number so I can call her back...low and behold she didn't have a return number but suggested she call me back later in the day.

To further investigate, I am calling PECO to inquire about this service.

Thank you Katherine for Posting.  They've been calling me from SOOOOOOOO many different numbers but all out of Levittown.  As soon as I block one they  turn around and call from another number........I ALWAYS report them to the DO NOT CALL website whether it does any good or not!!!

I've had a number of these annoying calls in the past few days.  It starts with a recorded message, and I generally hang up on it, as I do on recorded messages from unknown sources.  The first few words have to do with my PECO bill, so I am guessing it's another "slamming" scam.

I never answer unfamiliar numbers calling my cell. I assign a ringtone and volume to known numbers. My phone doesn't even ring for other numbers.

Called today and left a message about my electric bill. Needless to say, I did not return the call. The message said they wanted to help me with my electric bill. Thanks. Don't need help. : )

Katherine, I just got a call from this number about an hour ago. I did not answer it and they did not leave a message. But your comment confirms what I suspected - another telemarketer.

I have been getting quite a lot of attention lately from people trying to sell me an energy plan. They invariably say that they are somehow affiliated with PECO. I have had one door-to-door guy trying to convince me that his company, Commerce Energy, was contracted by PECO to go around to everyone's house to review their PECO bills to ensure they are getting the best rate. I have also had several phone calls to this effect as well. This seems to be the MO of all of these energy companies.

Be assured - these folks have nothing to do with PECO. They are rival energy companies trying to get your business any way they can. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. As the representative from PECO told me, they already HAVE all of our information. And make sure you don't sign anything! You are likely to wind up with a 2 year contract.

I received 2 calls in one day.  My experience was similar to Katherine's.  They first asked me to verify MY NAME.....they don't know who they are calling?  And they asked me to get my PECO bill.  I didn't give my name, but asked who THEY were.   They identified themselves at "Discount Center for Electricity".  I asked for a # where I could call back- she said they had outgoing calls only.  Then I asked for an address - "Norma" hung up on me.  A  second personal called back within a few hours.  Same story, but Nancy was a little more professional & didn't hang up.

I received a phone call at    2.13AM     on July 23, 2012..... No one was there..... I called in the morning and a recorded message said that number was not in service...

I received another call Thursday at 5.43 Pm., July 26, 2012.... I called the number - got the same message..... How is this allowed??????

I did return call and got "cannot be completed as dialed".  The Electricity telemarketers are the worst "do not call "abusers.
