- BernCall from this number and when I called it back.....phone was disconnected. Now, how can a phone get disconnected right after it calls you. COME ON PHONE COMPANIES!!!! KNOCK IT OFF. I'm beginning to think our phone companies are doing these calls to make us call back so they can charge us. Aren't they the only ones who can disconnect a phone??????We should get together to protest.
- Caller: unavailable

- Jessjust got a call from this number. I was talking to someone else so i didn't pick up. called back and got the number is not in service.
- BeenAroundTheBlockPECO makes sense in my situation... subcontractor looking for specified past customer working numbers.
- AnnThis phone call came through my caller ID as cell phone PA. When I answered, an automated voice indicated it was PECO and I was eligible for a better rate on my electric bill. I was instructed to press 5 and get my phone bill and a representative would be with me shortly. I was on hold for an exhorbitant period of time, so I hung up.
- Caller: PECO
- AnnI just did what everyone else did ... I called the number back and according to a recording ... this number is not in service. If this is in fact a call from PECO, is this legal? How can this be reported and stopped.
- Caller: PECO
- wade replies to ChuckThey were trying to get you to switch PECO to another carrier.
- RosieI live in Philly, and recently a guy came by with a story about lowering my electric bill. His spiel was sort of round about so that I would think he was connected to PECO. He was a pest but finally rolled his eyes and huffed away when I told him I didn't want to change. Sounds like maybe the same tactics are being used with these phone calls. Though, it's not the real PECO, but another company that wants us to change. Unwanted phone calls and pesky door-to-door folks are not an incentive to change to them!!
