Comes up on caller ID as Lansdale, PA which should be the correct exchange.  This site has it as Levittown, PA which tells me it's just another number for either the collection agency ARC (Accounts Recovery Bureau under number 267-274-2605 or Receivables Performance under number 443-599-8703.

So is it a "real" collection agency or just another scammer pretending to be a collection agency, because that's 95% of the calls I get. If it's real, they've got the wrong number anyway.

"So is it a "real" collection agency"  Without an actual name no one will be able to give you a definitive answer.  The first post mentioned 2 different collection agencies, one located in PA, the other located in Washington State.  I have information on the one in Washington, but not the one in PA.  If you could give me a name, I would happily give you the lowdown.  Your best bet though is to send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter, but of course you would need the address for that.  And yes, the debt collection business is mostly criminals pretending to be debt collectors.
