Calls at least once per month, no messages left, says Philly, PA, but look it up it says Levittown PA.  

U R right cals at least once a month. No message left.

This number, identified only as "I" calls several times a day. Only once did I answer; they are soliciting money. Answering machine picks up now though they never leave a message but, at least, I don't have to bother.

Comes up on the caller ID as "Charity".

They called me asking for my mother-in-law.  She lived with us and had a separate number.  I informed them she died in 2012.  Guy said we'll update our records.  Why in the heck were you calling me.😡

Scumbags called from "police & fire association" asking for my father who passed away in 2002!  It was a recording disguised to sound like a real person.  Does anyone rely give money to these jerks?

This caller left the message asking if my mother was there.  The Caller ID was "Charity".

The FTC needs to DO the damn job they were hired for and get paid to do and fine these damn people when they break the law!!  What's the purpose of the law if it is never enforced!  That's why they get away with this-and its pissing me off!
They could make a fortune just collecting these fines alone for calling people that are on a list NOT TO BE CALLED-They could lower the nations deficit substantially with this one tool,alone-if they just did their job right!!!
At $3,000. a pop-they would've made about $60-$80,000. just for my phone line alone in less than a month!!  If they don't pay up-hand it over to the IRS for collection!!  I put my house on the market recently-and now get moving companies calling me all day long!  Despite being on a do not call list!

This # has called me many times after I opted out-with the ID "Charity". I called them back and "left them my # to get back to me!  A bogus # though!  The recording said:
"Someone will be happy to return my call on behalf of the organization they were hired to represent".
They can call-but I won't be on the other end answering though!
Then I permanently blocked their phone # from calling my home ever again-to complete the deal.
I'm on the do not call list and it does absolutely nothing anymore!!

Not sure if it was a recording.  Voice said "Is the man or lady of the house available please".  I asked twice if this was a telemarketing call and the phrase was repeated so I hung up.

The DNC does not possess a magic switch that can stop calls from bothersome/unwanted callers.  However, YOU do!

Yes, indeed - every modern phone (both landline and cell) has a cunningly placed, magic switch that can cut off those nasty calls.  Here are some ways you can use it:

Technique #1, requires NO action on your part, automatically switches the call:
If you have Caller ID (CID), and see a number you do not recognize,  or know it belongs to a telespammer, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.  Instead, let the call go to your answering machine or voicemail.

Technique #2, for those people who MUST pick up the phone:
If you hear a telescammer, immediately hang up.  Activate that "magic" OFF switch manually!

But wait ... there is more!  If you pay attention for the next minute (or longer, if you are a slow reader), you can get your very own AUTOMATIC switch that will block calls from those nasty folks.  That's right, it will block ALL calls from the numbers YOU designate, for only pennies a week!

And, here it is ... simply google "phone blocker".  You will soon see a list of phone blocking apps, devices, and telephones that provide the "magic switch" for which you were wishing!

Google "phone blocker" right now, and end your dependence on a misunderstood Government Do Not Call list.  Create YOUR OWN Do Not Call list, and rely on your own ability to identify those telescum who bother you.  Then, next time you get a repeated call from a telescammer, you can blame yourself for not blocking that number the first time it called.

We got a call from this number today at 2:27 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was CHARITY. No voice mail message was left. We have gotten calls with the same caller ID from several different numbers, all which are blocked by our call blocker:

Our call blocker has a feature which allows names to be blocked. It now blocks all calls having CHARITY as the caller ID.

All I can do is give them bad vibes and hope their phone rings, continuously when they try to sleep. There is a reserved place for them in HELL!

Caller ID displays "Charity".  Asked if my spouse (asked for by his first name) was available.  I told him "let me see if he is available", then about 2 seconds later the guy goes "hello?".  I told him "hold on...still seeing if DH is avail", then the caller disconnected.
