called back and asked to be removed. we shall see what they do.
called back at 7:50pm got a person within seconds

File a complaint to the FTC and CFPB for Harassment and Illegal Collection Activity. Do a search on CFPB and FTC.. they have complaint directions on their sites.

This party calls and leaves no message.  Nor do they have any identification of who they are.  I record their calls.  You should to.

Should also file reports with the State Attorney General, DOJ and others..

They keep calling not only from that number but various numbers that are similar and i would like it to stop. I have been asked to be removed from the list and as of yet they have not complied. what would be the next step in stopping the harassing calls all hours of the day?

Scumbag bottom feeders who pay pennies on the dollar for super old debts then try to collect the full amount that was originally supposedly due  but are not willing to listen, believe or investigate the facts when told the original debtor was paid in full in a settlement. I suppose they then realize they were scamed by the creditor they bought the supposed debt from and will never be able to get the money they put out of their pockets back and feel it is better to harass and threaten elderly sick people whom may believe they actually could have them thrown in jail or take away their home or social security benefits over some tiny amount. In my case it was less then $200. I told them I had to find the paperwork that will show I was not a liar as they were stating I was. They would call 3-4 times a day from different #'s. When I finally did find the papers I had showing payment in full I tried to call them back but all the #'s they called me from did not take incoming calls . When they called me again with more threats it seemed they were very disappointed I had proof of payment. I was continually transferred to different people until disconnected. This happened several times. I just don't answer anymore any call that begins with 215-391 let them waste more money and take me to court and I'll show the judge my payment.

The burden of proof is on debt collectors to show that you owe a debt and that they can legally collect said debt.  Refusal to MAIL a debt validation letter to you means you should not pay the caller, per the FDCPA.

I don't answer but when I call back from another line, its an automated voice that says " Thank you for calling Diversified Consultants"  your call may be recorded  blah blah..

I am sure it is a debt collector.  They call for a while  then it stops for a month or so. Then it starts up again. they call from several different numbers. I don't answer any calls that I don't know. I just use the auto reject on my phone.  My phone just hangs up on them if I add them to the list.
