Called about my resume then tried to sell me a business this is a scam

Caller named Herbert said he saw resume on Monster and to call him back. He gave return number as 215-525-2972 - Did NOT call back

I just received a call from the same guy, "Herbert" with a heavy accent.  Tel 215 5252972, offering a franchise business, i.e. if you have $50k...scam!!!!

Herbert (Very heavy middle eastern accent) called and left a voice mail for me to return his call about my resume that he found on Monster.Com.
When I called back, he told me that after his company had reviewed my resume, they thought I could become a very successful business owner.

With a $50,000 investment, I could buy a franchise with his company. This is a major scam, plain and simple, do NOT fall for it.

Same thing - Herbert, thick middle eastern accent, "calling about my resume posted online"

Can somebody tell how two questions regarding liquidity and NO details about banking information, credit card info or statements can be a scam.

If people like to hide in an alias, and dont have the courage to at least call, or find more info about the company that is giving the opportunty for a solid bussiness proposal, if you took the time to read an post comments here, my recomendation is to educate yourselves and start doing your due diligence, regardless of race. Moreover if a person does not have the funds, that dos not mean that everyone is poor and make desitions for others.

I received a voice message from a "Herbert" purportedly about my resume that was posted on the web.  He asked that I call 215-525-2972 as soon as possible.  When I called the number, it gave weird rings and it had a outgoing voice message asking to just leave a message. I thought this was strange because "recruiters" would normally be eager to hear back from a potential job candidate.  My instinct prompted me to look up the number and found the strings of comments. Everybody thinks that the caller "Herbert" is  middle eastern person.  I think otherwise.  Being an Asian myself, he sounded to me as Asian.

Best to just report this to the attorney generals office (Pennsylvania since this is a Phila, PA number, and federal).  They will be able to investigate and determine if this is in fact a scam.

I received the same call this afternoon.  Herbert keeps busy.

Same thing. When I said I was not interested in a business, he hung up. Did anyone hear his pitch? If so, you should post the details (including the business he wants to sell you a franchise in).

I just received a call from Herbert (215) 525-2972, who says he got my resume off of Monster. The message just ask me to return his call.  I returned the call but could not leave a message (mail box full.) So I looked up the number. Anyone that calls you for a job offer and does not tell you the name of the company, only leaves a first name and number is never going to be a legitimate opportunity.

I know the deal. They are trying to sell your information to franchise brokers who will pitch you on buying a franchise. They are pitching them as "non-internet" leads because they called you after seeing your resume online.
