This is second hand information from a family member.

Caller reporting to be Officer David Daniels reports conducting an investigation for "CBI" - Criminal Bureau of Investigation?

Davids boss is "James Brown"

Both have heavy Indian accents and both threaten legal action.

The scary thing was the caller had my relatives SSN and knew she had a Wells Fargo account.  The callers also called my relatives friend and mother in regards to their "Investigation"

It was comical calling them back as their Indian accents are so heavy.  They did know they were using a number in Pennsylvania and they did manually dial phone numbers on their key pad when pretending to transfer calls to different extensions.  Pretty inept as far as scammers go but apparently they are still fooling enough people to make this wroth their time.

I am in law enforcement and am trying to track down what I can but unfortunately this seems to be originating overseas.

Auto-generated call stating - "This is Bank of America, we regret to inform you that your debit card has been locked.  Press 1 to be transferred to the security department."  It hung up after a 5 second wait.

I'm in telecom and used to work for Bank of America and know BofA doesn't use this cheap equipment or low standard practices.  Scam.

Appears to be same scam as Keith posted.

My call said that it was "Loudoun Credit Union," reporting that my debit card had been locked.  Same thing as above...call disconnected when I didn't press "1."  

I got the same message as Jennipurr.  Said it was "Loudoun Credit Union" & that a debit or credit card had been locked & to press 1 to continue.  It ended the call on it's own.  I'm glad I didn't press anything & went online immediately to check out the number.  

DON'T BE SCAMMED.  Stay safe.    

Got a call saying my Master Card was locked.  I entered 1 to continue to see what was next and was asked to enter my SSN and my 16 digit card number - please tell me folks do not fall for this.   I know this is a scam mainly because I don't have a MC ..also I work for a bank and no one would ask for this info.  I entered a bunch of numbers just to keep the line open to see if a person would respond and no one did

I just received the same call as Bank Worker, funny thing is I don't have a Mastercard. I just hung up.

Just got same call, my mastercard debit is locked. please press 1 to continue.   i hung up and i hope you do to.  pass it on.

Just received call from 215-589-6604 stating we had MasterCard debit card that was locked.  We don't have a MasterCard debit card.  Called back to speak to someone and only a recording.  Left message requesting to speak to a person!  We won't hear!  Its a scam.  Please do not fall for these types of calls!

Just got a call stating from first data, my account was locked , to enter my merchant number ID, I am not a merchant.  Did not enter anything. Scammers....

Received a call on my cell stating that my Master Card debit card had been locked, since I do not have a Master Card debit card I hung up

This number called me with an automated message that my Master Card had been deactivated or frozen and to dial "1" to reactivate or check the status. I thought this was strange as I do not have credit cards. I pressed "0" to as this typically gets me to a and was immediately asked to punch in my social, at which point I immediately hung up.

I called the 800 number on the back of my debit card to verify that my card was still active. Ended up talking to someone in India. #irony

Missed the call but I don't pick up if number is unknown.  Inputed the number into Google and got this website which I will bookmark.  Immediately blocked this number.  Thanks folks for the information.

****SCAM**** Knew the name of small town bank.  They want you to input your debit/credit card number.  Do not give out your number.  They are trying to rip off your information!!

Just hang up.   It's a phishing scam.

My bank's customer service dept. is currently overwhelmed with queries, probably due to this same phishing campaign.  No, your bank didn't suddenly freeze 1 million credit cards.

PSA: Never give your information to anyone who calls you, no matter how legit they sound.

I received a call from this number a few before 9pm, and I thought they said they were calling from Panama and I got nervous thinking they were going to charge me for an overseas call on my cell phone so I panicked and hung up ASAP !

2155896604 had called me before. I missed it & tried to return call thinking maybe it was just a doc office number that i did not recognize, with no luck. This morning I received a call from them at 6 am so I googled it and saw this. Thank you for the information.
