received several calls from this number. a male stating his name is David Brown informs me that i am being sued and do i wish to make good on this debt before or after it goes to a court of law. claims he works for a panel of attorneys but is unable to give me any type of information on the exact nature of the debt, other than it is from Cash Advance.  they have my name, claim to have my s.s. # (i did not verify this with them) and my home address. this David Brown threatened me with criminal charges including bank fraud if i did not make financial arrangements for the debt. when i asked for the state BAR number for the attorney in charge of this case, i was informed that the local police would be arriving at my place of business, my home address was given to me, and that i should have a good life. the person on the other end of the line then hung up on me. needless to say, the police never came to pick me up.
all of the people i spoke with have an accent...like they are from india. i have no idea how they got my personal information. it is most frustrating

Hello, I just received the same message from a "Mr. Brown" informing me I have criminal charges. I have no idea what his talking about. Is there any way we can report this?

I too received a call from this phone number but the name used was Frank Harris. He said he was with the Department of Law & Justice. Used all the same threats as above and also had a very heavy Indian accent.

Same call, but the heavily-accented guy said his name was Ben White. He promised me that law enforcement would be at my door in 45 minutes. I said, "good, they'll get here about the same time as my pizza."

I don't even have a payday loan there a fraud

My phone calls started last week out of the blue.  A gentleman calling himself Ben White started calling me at work.  He harrassed the receptionist and then her supervisor.  He has been threatening me saying that he will call my job a thousand times a day if he has too.  He is telling me that I am putting my job in danger, by not paying this debt through Cash Advance of 658.00.  I have never had a loan through Cash Advance.  A representative from Cash Advance did a conference call with him and he cussed her out.  He refuses to give me any information of what he is trying to collect.  He slipped in one of the previous call and said Cash Advance.  When you ask him now, he tells me he is not allowed to disclose that information.  I have spoken to several people in this matter and they are all telling me the same thing....no charges can be filed and I cannot be arrested for this.  
Please be careful in this situation though....I almost sent him money.

I just got a call from that number he said he was from the bureau of criminal investigations and his name was van white and said that he was going to have the police at my door in 30 minutes for a fraud debt for a cash advance from chase bank. He seemed to have some of my personal info which is scary and he told me I could pay the 400.00 debt to avoid criminal charges. I called the fbi in phildelphia and to claim they are a federal officier.

The exact same thing happened to me.  They called a former work place as well as my home number and left threatening message on home phone.   I agree with the former post.  There must be a way to stop these foreigners and/or whomever is assisting them especially since they are giving over our personal information.  I now am going to put a fraud alert on my credit profile because I don't know what extent these people will go to to damage us.

==today 3.17.2011    i recieved a call from Officer Ben Whit(yeah RIGHT!!) He then identified himself with the department of Law and Investigations. There is no federal department by that name.. The guy has a very thick Indian accent.. he then told me if wasnt going to resolve the matter( which he didnt even explain why he was calling that he would throw me in jail and wanted to speak to my boss)   I am currently 9 and a half months pregnant and going on maternity leave in 2 days.. I told them that I am aware they are sam artists and that under no circumstances would a legitimate company speak to anyone in that fashion .. he then asked to speak to my supervisor.(also a form of harrassmnt and 3rd party disclosure-- i am a collector by trade) I then complied.. he then proceeded to harrass my supervisor and make disgusting sexual inuendos to her about her sucking his dick and that he wanted to [***] her(these are the exact words used to my supervisor) They were recorded doing all of this .  They then contyinued to call my place of employmnt 24 times in a row.. I have actually filed a complaint with the fbi Internet crimes division and would recommend that anyone that recieves a call from these people do the same.  you can complete your complaint at www.IC3.gov.  These people are frauds and they do not own or have control of your account.. they have hacked into a payday loan system and do not have all of your info.

Report them to the Internet Crimes Division of the FBI at www.ic3.gov. They are total frauds.

You can continue to help shut them down these people are disgusting frauds and make me sick!!! Respond with a complaint at www.ic3.gov. The more complaints we make on them the more they will take it seriously and investigate!!! They are frauds and their tactics are illegal as could be.

foreign speaking man identified himself as Detective Ben White investigating a fraud case..my name & number were listed as emergency contact. he was trying to get a message to a friend of mine that someone he was close was being arrested. insisted that this was an emergency & that i needed to get ibn contact with this person right away & have them return a call to thus number....the incoming call to my phone registered on my caller id as 911...that is the only reasoni answered it

i got a call stating im being sued they have my soc.security number do i want to face criminal charges and ill be detained if i dont call back or have an attorney call him and he said ill surprises coming if i dont cooperate and he claims to be a detective and he talks with a accent and he said they will freeze my soc.security number.

My HR department continues to receives call from this number and when I call the number the person (male) has an accent from India.

I too just had a call at work out of the blue from an officer Ben White and the only reason my co-worker passed it on to me is because she thought it was the police.

I answered the phone to a man with a strong Indian accent.  I asked him if he was a police officer and he evaded that question.  I asked him if he was given the birth name Ben White and he evaded that question.  He went on to forcefully tell me that I am in big legal trouble and took money from someone called Cash Advance (I think) and if I didn't pay it back over the phone, I would be in big trouble.  I asked for details which he could not provide.  I asked for him to mail me something to which he said this is only done on the telephone.  I KNEW I was being scammed as I have NO loans with anyone other than my mortgage company.  He did try to have my verify my ss# which I refused to do.

I asked to speak to someone else who spoke proper English and not with an accent.  I got another idiot with an Indian accent who I couldn't understand either.  I then asked for a supervisor.  Yet one more Indian dude gets on the phone and is now yelling at me to pay them but they never could come up with an amount, when this supposedly happened, etc.  He also tried to get me to verify personal information which I woldn't do.  He did have my social security number and work email, but all of that is easy to obtain anyway and no big secret if people really want to find it.  

He then was screaming at me that the police would be "there" (wherever that is) to arrest me in 45 minutes and that this guy was personally "going to make my life a living hell".  I told him to bring it on, I would be outside for the cops to make it easy on them and hung up.

(215)606-3428 Officer Samuel Baxter said there was a criminal investigation against me and yet he wouldn't answer my questions. He just kept yelling and telling me what I was going to do!

Jacob Matthews has called my office and cell phone over 200+ times in the last week.  He says he is with the NY Justice Department and that he is looking for Marsha Marchant.  She is my sister-in-law.  He asked that I call her and ask her to call him.  I did that and she will not call him back.  He is harrassing me and calling me terrible names.  He is also calling from other numbers:  480-505-6300, 975-108-8720, 975-947-2587, and 215-606-3428.  I am having our legal counsel send a letter but need this to stop.  Our receptionists are busy enough without these calls.  Thank you for your help.
