I got a call from this number this afternoon.  I didn't answer as I don't usually answers numbers I don't recognize.  No message was left.

Identified themselves as Verizon and to dial them back on an 800 for an important message.

just got a phone call no message left.  If it is Verizon wireless they are nuts!!  My bill was due 11/10 for 130.00 no past due amount.  They also started to call my cell 11/20.  That would make the bill 10 days late they said I owe 260.00 on the message I sent a check on 11/20 for 130.00.  The next 130.00 isn't due until 12/10 but they included this in the message as past due!!  This is harrassment and they will lose good customers with this nonsense.  Look at the customers payment history before you start this calling frenzy of harrassment!!  Something things happen and customer forgets to pay a bill and will fix it next month or send a note and the customer will pay whenn they realize what happened.  Do not over inflate the past due amount this will take the customer more time to figure out what is going on because it will not make sense!!  VERIZON get it together!!
