Got two calls, about 45 minutes apart.  First one had Caller ID of "Mathew George", Second one had "PHILADELPHIA PA".  Both times hung up as soon as I answered.  

Won't have to answer again...blocked on Ooma.

Got a call that woke me up. No one answered when I answered.

Two calls on 8/19 in Iowa from this Philadelphia number. Did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Received numerous calls from a this number, 215-698-0308, which showed up as George Mathew. (Zaba Search gives an address of 133 Greycourt Rd, Philadelphia, PA  19115) I finally picked up to ask them to stop calling me. The male Indian voice on the line said he was from Microsoft Technical Support and that he was calling because I had been receiving multiple error messages on my computer. He provided me with the CLS ID # for my computer (rather frightening - where did they get that?), and asked me to start going into the Run/CMD innards of my computer, which I refused to do. He then gave me a different number, 214-272-0277, as his call-back number, which I immediately Googled and found out that this is a dangerous scam, tricking people into giving them access to their computer. Be careful of this one!

I started receiving calls from this number three days ago.  I did not answer the call but instead checked the 800notes blog to find out what I could about this caller.  I have received 3 to 4 calls a days from this Philly number, this morning it was at 7:38am.
I usually ignore all out of my telephone area calls because I know it is some telemarketer or scam, most usually from Las Vegas, Miami or southern California.  

I have received multiple calls from this number and no one answers so I don't pick up anymore. I have relatives in PA or I wouldn't have answered in the first place.

Rec'd call from someone, calling from 215-698-0308 claiming to be from the Windows service center. Thick foreign accent. Lot of back ground noise, wanting me to allow him track my computer. Windows doesn't have my current phone number so I hung up on him.

Received 2 calls so far this morning from this number, did not answer either. Glad I did not after reading other posts about it being a Microsoft scam

These scammers called me today. I answered once and some guy with a heavy Indian accent told me that my computer had a virus and was sending out some type of indication that this was the case. This was as far as he got because this is not the first time that I have received these phony calls. I filed two reports with the FTC and Do not call.gov. The numbers have been blocked as well. Now, we won't be answering any numbers that we don't recognize as the number of scams seem to be skyrocketing by the day.

These idiots are getting *slightly* more sophisticated, and the general public doesn't know enough about the internals of their computers to know what's really going on.  

Just figure it this way - if you are on the Do Not Call list, and they are calling you anyway they are already breaking the law.  What other laws are they willing to break?  I either mess with them (I was a network administrator for about 20 years, and also had done component-level repair on various computers and electronics devices), or just hang up and file (yet another) complaint with the FTC and the FCC.

We all know Microsoft don't call any one.
Need law and enforcement agency to have this number on their radar, trace these guys and put them behind bars.

MIRCROSOFT WINDOWS SCAM!  They called me 5 times in 2 days, I never pick up unknown numbers, but these [***] were calling me after 9 p.m..  Indian accent said he was from Microsoft Windows and needed to service my computer.  Just hung up.  Can't believe people fall for this SH**!  Microsoft doesn't make calls, and they don't have your cell phone numbers anyways.
