A third number that called us today that appears to be a part of the same scam, threatening that this is a call about the US treasury and we must respond.  Comes up as out of area.  The associated numbers with this scam are 215-734-0226 and 215-737-0224.  The voice is foreign and identifies as Steve Modern.

Just received the same phone call

Same here again in Seattle.... "it's your second contact"  "let us help you"   completely a scam

My husband actually called the number back :( Woman with foreign accent answered.  They were using highly suspect language, wanted to know if we had filed our taxes yet, offered to "do it for us" and also threatened my husband by saying they have a warrant for his arrest and they would execute that warrant if he hung up the phone.  TOTAL SCAM!!!

Same call today to our home number in Bellevue. Not only a scammer, but an inept and amateur scammer at best.

Showed up on CID as "unknown." Did not answer no message left.

SCAM - Case filed against me???? When I asked for him to send me paperwork on the case filed against me - he hung up.  

In seattle area - same call, heavy accent broken English.   added to # block list

7:02PM just called, some middle eastern guy warned that I had a judgement against me from the US Treasury and that I would spend the next six months in jail and that federal agents would be here in 45 minutes, then hung up.  Called back and he wanted my name and number to continue the call, I just said I was trying to return the call to Steve Modern and he hung up again.  Never did figure out what the scam was other than to scare you..

SCAM!! just got the same message from this number 215-737-0224. I called back and no one answered.

Seattle area also, I received 2 phone messages from this guy broken English... Telling me to contact them ASAP.. That this is the federal treasury and if I want to avoid prosecution I better contact him !!
What a crock of crap!!  Don't people have anything else to do but try and scam hard working people!!

Seattle area also....2 calls, broken English, same story....definitely a scam.  Caller block activated for that phone # now :)

Got this call in tumwater today.

Got the same call a second time from 215-734-0224, and my caller ID said "Hatboro, PA".  I tried to answer it this time, so I could play them the "Mr. Grinch" song, but it was just a recording, and no one was on the line.

When I called the number back, this is the recording I got:  "The person at extension 9001 is unavailable.  Please leave your message after the tone."

Steve is a busy guy today calling all parts of Western Washington. Now his VM is full and you can't ask for a call back to play along :(...  Steve, when you get this message, please call me back asap - (206)464-6684, Bob F

Same, I was very stressful at time he called. Almost fooled by him.
