this number needs to be deleted from the phone system...it is ridiculous i want my number deleted...

I just received a call from this number so I "Googled" the number and found out that it is an alternate telephone number for Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company.  See the information below:

I have received calls from this number -- for the past 4 days.  Mine begin shortly after 8 am (Central time) and then late a.m., a couple in afternoon, and another in evening.  No response when answered, and busy signal when dialed back. Since I use cell phone only, and cumputer is via cable service -- I simply ignore with no real bother.  But after seeing Colonial Penn reference -- a friend of mine requested some info from them several days ago from my phone, so I imagine they have some goofy system, which obviously isn't working for them in following-up -- but sure as hell is annoying.  Just dialed again, and got same busy signal.

I entered a previous comment here.  Since, and after continuing to get calls from this # many more times - and on some occasions, answering with no response - I finally got a live person upon answering 3 days ago.  It was a young woman, a CSR for Colonial Penn.  As I said earlier, a friend had called them from my phone for some routine info, and they had my #, so this was some sort of follow-up.  The young rep. didn't really know anything, except being intent upon reading (badly) a script about the advantages of their insurance, etc., and even reading their scripted inquiry about how much did I think I could afford, etc.  She seemed oblivious to my indication this was result of a friend's call, not mine.  Finally, I told her simply to send whatever in the hell was ordered, and neither my friend nor I needed her counsel as to how much insurance was appropriate, how much could be spent, or the like.  By this time I was frankly amused and even let her continue, largely oblivious to what I'd said, to completing her script - indicating the info would soon be sent, to call them with any questions, and thanking for the inquiry.  I have another friend who is an executive with a large in-bound call center organization, with offices here in Tulsa, elsewhere, and even in India, so I know a little about how they work and how robotic many of their Customer Service Rep.scripts are structured.  I guess Colonial Penn is a quality insurance firm, but their telephonic/communication system is fifth-rate "shlock."  If you get calls from this #, just answer, and tell the live person whatever is appropriate, but this obviously gets this inane constant "autocall" business stopped.
(Checked "Telemarketer" below; even though these calls were follow-up to a routine request for advertised info, still appropriate to thes designation.)

I called Colonial Penn several days ago after seeing an ad on TV for life insurance.  I requested information through the mail.  Since then, I have received a call every three hours from this number.  I thought Colonial Penn was a reputable company, but I guess I was wrong.  This is nothing more than harrassment, but I guess I set myself up for it.
WORD OF WARNING - Never call anyone and ask for information after seeing an ad on TV.

I have been getting 5-10 calls per day from this number on my cell phone for the past week.  We actually got rid of our landline because of all the telemarketing calls we would get- I have never given my cell phone number to anyone except personal contacts, but somehow all of a sudden, am receiving calls from this one number.

If you get a call from any number and no one talks its a computer generated call....What they are trying to do it determine when you are home....I heard someone once say if you answer it and no one speaks hit the # sign repeatedly fast till it hangs up. Its suppose to remove your number from their system because they dont recognize the pattern and they think its a fax machine or something else not human.

I'll bet I have gotten at the very least 40-50 calls from this number on my cell. This is pure harassment!!! Someone needs to investigate this---cuz if so many people are complaining, then something needs to be done. My cell is on the national "do not call list". I know I didn't give my number to anyone that I didn't want to have it...family and close friends. Stop the harassment, whoever you are!!!!

If this call is from Colonial Penn, they shouldn't be calling after promising to SEND written explanation of their benefits.  We are so disappointed that we are now at the point to catagorically refuse to talk to them IF they ever call again.  Same thing three times in a row:  they call; we answer; they hang up.  Either their equipment is not working correctly, or they have a robot at the other end.  We are only interested now in stopping these calls.

Somebody had better notify Alex Trebek.  This is not good press.

The Insurance Company asks a potential customer at the end of your conversation will ask you do know anyone who you know that may need Life Insurance? That's why and how the Company are calling people that are not expecting these calls.

I get 20 calls a  day from this number but no one there.

I am so sick of this number from Pennsylvania with the telephone number of 215-928-5400 calling me, someone said it is Colonial Penn Life  life insurance company, if it is, I would never buy any insurance from their company, they are too annoying Something needs to be done, they are very rude, and stupid..

This number calls us all day long and late into the evening..  When u answer no one talks.  I heard it was Colonial Penn Life Ins.  If this anyway they do business I want no parts of them.  Pleasevstoo the harassment

 Reframe:  I get a lot of good exercise from getting up to see who is calling.  Seriously, is there a way to block individual numbers?

If it's a land line, your phone service provider might offer a blocking service. Call them to find out. If they don't, you can get a call blocker by Googling it. If it's a smart phone, there are apps available for free that allow you to block individual numbers. I installed one two months or so ago that is connected to a database of scam/spam callers so it identifies them right off the bat. I've gotten only one or two bad calls since them. I added those numbers to the blocked list, so I won't hear from them again.

What do you consider harassment?  I get 9 to ten calls a day from this company even though I have blocked the number and told them to stop calling me.  I get a package from them every day in the mail that goes into the round file immediately.  I would like to find a lawyer that would be willing to sue these people because they are insane.  

Colonial Penn says I requested information which I never did and have called at least 15 times a day with no one on the other line just hanging up after a few minutes I need these calls to stop I am reporting colonial Penn as harassing me

Do not call this number. Take me off your list. I don't want what you got.
