8 calls from this number were on my long distance phone bill.  Each call was either 1 or 2 minutes long.  Two calls were made a minute apart and on another day, three calls were made a minute apart.  The phone company removed these charges, but it was an automated process and I don't know if they will do anything about the number itself.

Left one call. You could hear noise in the background. Sounded like a classroom.They were talking about re-formatting.

Have rec'd. two calls on my cell from this number.  Don't have a clue who it is. It bugs me.

I was trying to set up my new smart phone and this number was in call forwarding.  I couldn't get it out.  Had to set home phone instead.

Rec'd voicemail from this number stating suspicious activity on MC. Do not own one and do not have anything from First Merit Bank asking me to unlock my MC for suspicious activity.  Calling first merit to report this>

I got a new cell phone about a week ago and this number keeps showing up to call.  Don't know who it is. The number shows up as voicemail forwarding.  Says to enter password - then ends.

Number showed up on my phone statement through Time Warner indicating I had called that number on 10/16/2012.  Only problem is, I wasn't even home.

This number appeared on my phone saying that I called this number. Used 1:58 mins of my phone.

WATCH IT EVERYONE. This number is all over the internet. Calling people to spoof them and get MC and VISA numbers, hacking into any cell phone they can find (use a password, everyone)

Whomever they are, they hacked INTO my new tracfone and forwarded all incoming calls. (believe me I have nothing of any interest in my conversations-mostly VERY boring work related stuff. I have NEVER and will NEVER make a purchase on my phone. I wouldn't give anyone EVER my SS #, etc.)

For the first month or so I was getting incoming calls, and then they stopped. Come to find out (via a GSM code) that all my incoming calls are going to 216-262-1537.WHY? Because this person has no job, or hobbies. OR they think someone may call me with a credit card number??  Tried to REMOVE the forwarding, no luck, it said request rejected. Whomever they are they are into some extreme illegal activities, so DO NOT

Call them back.
CALL THEM trying to harass them back.
If they call trying to get you to give them CC info (esp a card you have) call the POLICE.

Refer the police to this website, and the many many others that mention this phone number.  

Google this number, you'll see, DO NOT TALK TO THEM. Next they'll hack your home phone. Seems they are pros, and very tech savvy.

Never noticed before today but this number has appeared 26 times on my missed calls list from 3 months ago. I didn't recognize it. Guess I need to start paying attention.

It is the "catch-all" number for forwarding any Tracfone or Safelink wireless call for a person who has yet to set up their voicemail.

So whomever called using this  number has hacked into Tracfone, and is using this number to avoid detection.

If they call you (this is for anybody) and say there is fraud on your MC look up the number and CALL THE BANK directly.

DO NOT EVER call some random number given to you on a spam voicemail. They can forward these calls to any number anywhere using GSM codes. You do NOT know you are taking to the bank.

LOOK IT UP and call the bank from a known phone number.

Better still (for the oldsters, and don't get mad I AM ONE OF YOU) get "with it" and get online access to your card, and check it yourself.

Do no t EVER give out you personal info to anyone who called you, or to any phone number you cannot verify FOR SURE.

The REASON the scammers are using this # is because the cops could NEVER find a name or address linked to it, however phony they may be, since this is not a real phone #.

I recently switched to AT&T.  I made a call, got my friend's voicemail, and left a message. When she looked at her phone, 216-262-1537 is the number that showed up on her phone.  Once I set up my voicemail on my new phone, my number shows up.
