I have received two calls from 216-278-0144 that I answered.  In the first after a delay, a pleasant female voice said "this is Debra".  I hesitated and asked  "Is this my cousin Debra"  the voice mumbled something and hung up.  In the second, the same pleasant Debra went on to tell me about government backed reverse mortgages.  At that point, I exploded with "we are on the Do Not List" and started to continue with more.  But, Debra quietly interrupted with "I am so sorry.  I will delete your name ".  I hung up an fumed for a while, and then reviewed in my mind what I had heard in these two calls.  The Debra voice had a definite HAL-like quality.  My conclusion:  I was talking to a very clever interactive robo-call computer.  DUH!

Caller ID shows "Processing Help".  They called at dinner time yesterday and lunch time today.  No idea who they are.

When I receive a call from and unknown number and I suspect it's a telemarketer I hit talk and then immediately hit off .  This emulates call block and it appears they eventually give up thinking the call has been intercepted by a call blocking device.

I wish the FCC, responsible for the don't call list, would get off their butt and do something about this problem of unwanted calls.  I'd like to know what they do all day in that division.  I was thinking that 60 Minutes, Frontline or some other investigative show should get involved in solving this problem and investigate the callers and the FCC

File complaints with the FTC & FCC. If you can get a address for this place, you can mail them (make sure you also put and their affiliates) a cease and desist letter to stop calling certified US mail.  And yes, you have legal recourse - but you need the real name and address and phone number. You need to keep any and all messages, record them anytime you talk to them (see your state on their recording laws) Some states require you to tell them they are being recorded.

See the TCPA laws in regards to this. And file reports with the FTC,FCC and DNC every time they call.

10/25 Apparently missed call yesterday from "Debra" boo hoo.  So many unsolicited calls, so little time to report everything.  Idiotic that these creeps seem to expect an answer from a voicemail box.

Received call from this number.  Answered after two rings.  No response when I answered "hello".
Called back number from my phone.  Got voice saying " this is Debra, if you recdeived this call by mistake, press one. to be removed from list."  So I pressed one and checked this site to see who actually called. Thanks for the info.  Puts my mind at ease to at least know its not a stalker! LOL  But still don't like robo calls!
