Received a call from this number at 11:27am 6/18/2011.  It was caller ID's as "IMPORTANT."  Yeah, so important they did not leave a name or message.  Has anyone else received the same call??

they keep calling but no one is there when i answer, how important is it?????

A computer recording claiming the government is requiring credit card companies to work with customers to lower debt.  Press ? if you're not interested in cutting your debt in half, press ? if you want to cut you cc debt in half.  At that point I hung up.  The computer rattled of the supposed last few digits of the account they were calling about but I personally don't sit around with all my acct numbers handy so have no clue if it matched any or not.  Wasn't worth pressing either button to find out.

Just received a call from this # on a SUNDAY evening?!?!?  It says "IMPORTANT" in the caller ID.  Seriously???

Just got one myself.  Hung up.  Spam is spam.

I'm with you ... If it's so IMPORTANT why no message?  Don't they EVER give up?

If you call the number back, it gives you the option of being placed on the "do not call" list.

Just got this call too.  You can listen to the message at http://archshrk.com/google-voice-for-tracking-spam but here's the message they left...

"...Work with their clients. To reduce balances on credit cards medical bills and unsecured debt with no fees. We are calling from the renegotiation department pertaining to your current bill reference number 589632. We are implementing this procedure under this directive and are calling to get your credit card reduced under Civil Code 17 88.14. If you are not interested in reducing your balances press 3. It is important that we do everything possible to lower your balances, and cut your debt in half. Press. 5 Now to be transferred to the renegotiation department press 5, to cut your balance is in half."

I just recevied a call from this number said cleveland OH. I did not answer. sounds like more phone garbage. I do not use an answering machine by choice. When I see a number I know, I call it back. It is that simple. To much garbage on phones these days and liers trying to scam people. keep it simple no answering machine to welcome anyone. They do give up if there is never an answer.

Their Caller ID is "Cleveland, OH".
they hung up without leaving any message.
On callback, a recorded announcement permitted me to opt out of future calls, and to be removed from their preferred marketing list.
