this number was on our caller id today - don't have a clue who they are or what they want; no voice mail either.

It's a scam... credit card or other...

I am on a do not call list, but continue to get calls from all kinds of telemarketers, including this one.

Caller ID name says "IMPORTANT."  I did not answer and no vm was left.  I am on the do not call list as well.  Annoying!

Got this call but no message left. THIS is the reason I don't answer ANY calls I don't recognize anymore!

Oh, by the way... ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!  Have been for YEARS!

Got a call from this number. They did not leave a message, and I'm pretty sure I don't know anyone in this area code. I'm guessing it's a telemarketer.

Received a call from this number 6/21/11. Caller ID said "Columbus, OH", no message was left. Have no idea who or what this call is about. And I'm also a long-time resident of the "Do-Not-Call-List". Doesn't seem to work too well, does it?

Got a call answered it and when they said thanks for holding can I help you I said yes stop calling me and they hung up.. It's a scam

Same here.  As "if" just by have "important" as a caller ID would want me to answer their call....what idiots!!  I have no bills and don't want any dang credit cards...

Received a call from this number today 6-22-11. On Caller ID .. It had important!!! The Do Not Call list Do not work... Did not leave a message.. and I did not return call to find out....

Called me as well and did not leave a message. These cretins use all kinds of different numbers to call.

Received call from this number.  Pressed one and "Miles" answered.  told Miles to remove me from their calling list.  Am also on national do not call list.

Just received a call from this number.  Also no message.  Also on "Do Not Call" list.  I have had more annoying phone calls since being on that list than I had before.

Same old story - my machine answered for me, no message left...

I got a call from this number today. I called the number back and got a recording that says, "If you want to be placed on our 'do not call list' please press 1". Then it said, "Please allow up to 72 hours for your number to be placed on the do not call list. It is definitely a telemarketer. We'll see if it actually works.

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago. The caller ID showed "IMPORTANT," as if it really were. I answered on the fourth ring (out of curiosity), and the caller disconnected.

The government can't take one small step toward balancing the budget by discontinuing any and all money regarding the upkeep of the "do not call" list. It obviously is not working, given the number of folks here who, like me, continue to receive these calls.
