Scammer claiming a bad check written.  Tries to sound all official to scare the naive into giving them money.  Also calls from 216-302-2843.  Wish the FBI would catch up with these guys as they are likely an extortion racket.

Polite man on phone but was telling me I wrote a bad check and a summons was issued against the person at my number. (?). Funny thing is I write 2 checks a month and thats it. Scumbag scammers.

Called me claiming bad check was written. Funny thing is I don't own a check book.

SCAM! Tried telling me i had written a bad check from us bank and i dont have a us bank account nor do i use checks

A recording telling me someone has taken a credit card out in my name and fraudulently using it.
I have identity theft on my credit report and am alerted anytime anything runs through my credit.
I have not gotten any alerts and I looked at my report and everything is as it's supposed to be.

Caller is just another of a long string.  every couple years someone calls and tries to say I wrote a bad check in 2004 with US Bank and they will take legal action within the week.  Problem is, I have never banked with US Bank nor have I had a checkbook since 2002.  Somebody has a Call List that must be getting re-sold from one scammer to another. 6 months ago it was a caller from the Los Angeles Area, now it a caller from Cleveland.  I get mad and then realize the some scammer paid another scammer for a list of worthless information...lol..idiots!!

Just received a back to back to back call from this number claiming about bad check was written.  They probably bought the details from a scammer and tried to scare people into paying it.  Screw them!

A woman left a voice message stating " My name is Mrs Clark, I am with WVA. Your name and social has come up with a complaint attached to it. If you don't call 1-855-275-8236 by the end of business hours today this will be considered will evasion. You have been notified"

I know damn well I do not owe anyone any money at this time. Nor do I have any outstanding checks. Nor am I behind on any bills. They didn't state my actual name at all , nor did they give a case number associated with said complaint. Complete scam.

Same message. Word for word. Rude tone and all. Scary/Assertive..! Thing is, not only don't I bank using checks... this call came over my work phone. Not okay!!!

Just called saying bad check written...I write 1 check a month. Total scam!!!!!

My daughter just received a nasty call and left a voice message stating " My name is Mrs Clark, I am with WVA. Your name and social has come up with a complaint attached to it. You have been notified"  Reading the previous comments, I doubt my daughter has anything to worry about.
I'm wondering how the caller would feel if the phone were on the other ear, so to speak!

Received the same voicemail from Mrs. Clark I called her back on the phone # she provided and it was someone else she was looking for so she just apologized and removed my phone number from the account.

Caller called about a che h writen from me but i dont have a checking account at all so its not from me the number they left 216 302 2842. I did google for information an it came up as a scam

They left a message that there was a claim against me.. I know nobody in Ohio and have done nothing to warrant anything...
