guy answered by James Turner claimed he was an officer and told me that there was a warrent out for my fiance and he couldnt tell me details, gave me a file number and a phone number to contact someone within 24 hours or an arrest would be made. My brother called him back and he said his name was joseph thompson...sounds fishy to me, its a scam for a debt collector.

This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

They tried the same thing on me. They were talking about a bad check I wrote.  It wasn't a bad check it was a payday loan. Payday loans are civil not criminal. No collection agencies has the power to send anyone to jail. They people are scammers. They told me to pay through money gram. This is one of those illegal collection agencies. Don't believe what they say at all. It's all crap. Literally. They are breaking the law by not following the  FTC and the FDCPA. Meaning fair debt collection practices act. Call your attorney general. Don't pay these people. Good luck.

Contact the original lender and pay them. These people are a sad excuse of life. Bottom dwellers  that have to break the law in order to keep their business open. Again don't pay and report them. They are breaking laws. Fdcpa and the FTC.

Oh and they've  changed their number. It was 216-302-2566.....now it's 216-302-3631.. Guess they can't keep up the sherade very long because they have to change their numbers to avoid people actually looking into them. Hence here on 800 notes. They are probably all fat white trash. I just laughed at them. Told them come get me. Gave them an updated address. They said I'll be stuffed in the back of a sheriff sedan and that I'll be eating 3 meals a day sleeping on a cott. They people are ridiculous. So very pathetic. They are cracking down on these places. We just need to keep reporting them.

These people aren't even from Ohio. They are based in Jacksonville FL.. The real name of the company is North Beach Associates 2444 mayport rd suite 13 Atlantic Beach FL. Give your attorney the info. Call the FTC and file a report. The more complaints the faster they get shut down. The real names of these people, Elizabeth Willuz, also Alisa Flores, Robert Firneques, Tom laws and Richard Cockrell.
