Same thing today, left no message.

Called my cell. It was silent when I answered and then they hung up.

Called my cell?? no message

Called back on land line - Automated System complained I wasn't calling from a cell phone.

Called back on a company cell phone - It states it's Verizon Wireless National Payment Center and wanted me to enter my 10 digit cell phone number.

I entered a bogus old Verizon Cell Number I disconnected 5 years ago and Verizon pulled from it's pool because it was 1 number off a police department number (people would call it 24 hours a day trying to call the police).  

Automated system then said my bill was past due and to enter a valid credit card card number with the security number.  I entered 16 zeros and a 3 zeros.  It then asked me to use my phone and enter the name on the card.  I of course entered, Kanyu C MeyeButt.  It took it and said my monthly statement would be paid without fees and thanked me.  Click.

Scam - Called on a phone cell phone that is not the primary account holder cell phone number.  LOL

I was bored and called it like 4 more times for Itch N MeyeCrotch, Big N TunsOfuhn, Kim Kardashian, and Suhk N BloeMee.

Recording came on: "You have won a trip to the Bahamas..."

Called my cell, I didn't answer, they hung up before it went to voicemail.

They called stating that I may qualify for forgiveness of student loans.

I didn't answer. I recognized that the number was Cleveland area because I have family there. I figured if they had to use someone else's phone, they'd leave voice mail & I'd call back. No voice mail. No idea who this is. Looks like a lot of people are suddenly getting calls from this number. I'm guessing  spam.

They have been calling cell phone and not leaving message. Will block that number!

This number called me 7 times today within an hour.  Never left a message.  I called back and got a recording stating Verizon Payment Center.  Could not get a live person.  

They called me on my cell--which is an AT&T Wireless account.

Called it back, then entered 216-339-5537 as the number to look up.  It accepted it, and then asked for CC info.  I entered 0000 0000 0000 0000 000, then 0000 as the PIN.  It then said wait times were higher than normal, but I could wait for a rep if I wanted.  Didn't have time to wait, maybe I will later.

Just called me.  Didn't answer and they left no message.  Had a similar call from a different number two days ago from out of the country that I checked and it was a scam that would have racked up my phone bill.  I report these as they come.  You might not want to answer any calls outside your social circle area.

In my area code, but I don't answer numbers I don't know.  I figure if it's important, they'll leave a message.  99% of the time it's a scam, and I know thanks to these forums.  Thanks to all!

Got the same call 216-339-5537, didn't answer came here and found all these.... called it back blocking my # and sure enough another # that Verizon is using.  It is Verizon Wireless National Payment Center.   So I put my # and my billing pin # and then got a live customer service rep on the phone.   And I asked her why they are calling me, I had set up payment for my balance to be paid by tomorrow.   She said I could go transfer me to financial services to have these automated calls stopped... no I don't have time for that .. I talked to them last week when I set up the arrangements.   I have been with this company way before they were even Verizon.. They told me 19 years I have been a customer... Ok apparently I am a good (or a sucker) customer and you always get my money...  leave me the F alone I know when my payments are due  especially when I set up the arrangements!!!

got a call too, answered but no one spoke. no doubt a chicken head doing their thing.

Just received a call from this number as well, no message , figured it was a bogus call
