I asked about the instructions and the operator told me about it. It was a lewd, obscene typer. I must admit, it was funny to hear the operator repeat the obscene things. I politely hung up.

My dear,

It is my pleasure to contact you for a business venture which I and my Sister, intend to establish in your country. Though we have not met with you before but we believe, one has to risk confiding in someone to succeed sometimes in life. There is this amount of TWELVE Million US Dollars ($12.000.000.00) which  our late father deposited with a security company in Abidjan Capital city of Cote d'Ivoire which he  wanted to used for his political ambition in our Country before he was assassinated. Now we have decided to invest this money in your country or anywhere safe enough outside Africa for security and  political reasons.
We want you to help us claim and receive the  consignment which will be sent to you through diplomatic means to your address to avoid any traces of the funds and to enable you plan for the investment in your Country. We will like to invest part of the money into these three investments in your Country but, if there is any other business that is better than our suggestion, we will be very glad to follow your advice.
1). Real estate
2). The transport industry
3). Five star hotel
If you can be of an assistance to us we will be pleased to offer to you 20% Of the total fund while the balance will be invested by you. I await your soonest response.
Respectfully yours,
kevin and rose kurubos

okay so i've been researching this whole process because a friend of mine has been getting harassed via ip relay. it's federally run and they are required by law to read whatever the "deaf" person is saying. they are not allowed to discriminate freedom of speech and have to read it to you. if someone who isn't hard of hearing is using this it is a federal offense. call their customer service at 866-735-0373 and the person will tell you what to do if someone is abusing the system. they have records of phone calls, but can't release them to the public. you have to go to the police department, report it, and get a subpoena. apparently its not hard to get though, and you can easily find out the number of who's calling you. being a federal offense, they will be fined or made to serve jail time.

I received a call from a man saying he was the assistant to Al Keck(a local sports reporter) And wanted me to come to the station to do an inteview about Tampa Bay Rays fans because Mr. Keck was doing a special segment on fans concerning the upcoming  season. I am an avid fan of the Rays so I agreed but I wonderered to myself how he had gotten my number. So I sent an email to Mr. Keck and he responded by saying he was unaware of the appointment or the segment, but that he was a huge fan of the cowbell kid and does want to actually do a story on why I do what I do. So it actually worked out good for me. :)

It was an email regarding puppies for sale. This man Swansea Cole had been emailing me about a puppy I would ask questions and he would have random round about answers. Eventually he sent us this check for 2800 dollars for our 400 dollar puppy. When we didnt cash the check the next day he started calling my fathers cell phone. Then he called our home phone meanwhile I googled his name and confirmed he was a scammer. So when he called the first time my mom answered and said we werent sending him any puppy. He called again i answered this time and he was swearing at me asking me what the hell was i doing and such. I told him he was a scammer and i wasnt about to do anything with the check or puppy. He hasnt emailed me or called sinced however this was only yesterday.  The sheriffs in our town said these scammers have recently screwed a local elderly woman out of 30,000$! WTF is wrong with people for real!! His email was the same as someone has mentioned up there already but its     swansea cole <fuade3@yahoo.com>
Being only 18 and living in the country i wasnt really sure what was going on but thank god my dad thought it was a little suspicious because it happend several years back when we were selling a car!
