Same puppy story, mine started out with emails about my puppies, then the IP-relay calls. After I assumed it it was a scam I just started telling the operator "I don't take IP calls" and hung up.

TODAY, I got a UPS express envelope with a $3500 check from a company in North Carolina, but the evelope was from Minnesota from a "Charles McCullick". I looked up the company online, they were legit, so I called them and they said they've been dealing with this scam for months, and I was the eighth person to call today.

Long story short, a few minutes ago I got a 216-416-0033 call, I took it this time and the person asked if I got the check, I said yes, and that I contacted the company and verified that it was fake and that I gave the police all the information and emails, and I hope he rots in jail. the IP operator said they hung up.

I got a phone call from this number (216.416.0033) just an hour ago. I'm selling an mp3 player on Craigslist and I got an email from a guy claiming to want to buy it for more than $100 than it was worth. I thought it sounded kinda weird so I googled this number and found this thread. Thank God I did!! I told this guy knows what town I live in though :(

I Got a call on my Business line today but not sure how they got my number. I dont use Craigslist.  Frankly I dont care if they have my home info if these terrorist bastards wanna play come on then I got a little friend here waiting. Its a damn shame if this is not terrorist related that people would have to go to great lengths to avoid working for thier share of the almighty dollar. Our government is not going to do anything because the calls are routed out several times and cant be traced. My sister got scammed a few years ago. Some guy called and said he was in Washington and that my sister had won an online sweepstakes of $750,000. They were going to pay the taxes for her by sending her a check. The tax check was for $5000,00 and was to be wired to an IRS agent. As soon as the agent received the check they would send her the winnings in another check. I called my bank and they told me about the nigerian scam.

I received three calls in a row last night at 12:06-12:07. I did not answer them as I was asleep, but when I saw that I got a little curious, so I decided to Google the number. Upon doing so, I discovered this site, and I am glad that I did. I don;t know how whoever is doing this is getting the numbers, but the authorities definitely need to check it out.

yea, the other night was on vacation and i got a phone call a little after midnight, but i was asleep..i had no idea who in the world would be calling me from a number like that. they called twice. how are these people getting our numbers?

Call received 11:23 PM, didn't leave a message. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the area code.

my girlfriend just got a call from someone who claimed to be peter he then said "I'm going to hurt you b***h" when I took the phone they ended the call...I'm really pist off bc my girlfriend is really freaked out.

Got 3 phone calls in a row from 2164160033 stating he endorsed and serviced Hillary Clinton. I hung up the first time, and he called back, the call was mostly the same but he said he was my evil twin. He called a third time and I did not answer.

I got a call from 216-416-0033 around 1am. It was like someone typed a message and a computer read it off. It was a female voice that said "You are a skank b***h. I hate you". They called about 5 times and i didnt answer. That message was left the last attemt that they tried to call me.

I received a call from this number as well. I tried to call the number back but it was busy. I probably called it at least 10 times in a 24 hour period but it was always busy no matter what time of day. No idea who wanted to call me or why but I'm glad I didn't answer!

as i am seeing that many of you are mentioning western union that triggers something with me. i have been applying for jobs on craigs list and myspace. one i applied for was for dispatchers and the email i got back they spoke of needing to send me western unions and me cashing them as they were from out of country. funny. just yesterday i saw a thing on the news about those western union scams. well i deleted the email but now im thinking this could be related from what you guys are saying. thanks for all the info! they didnt leave a message. plus i never answer a number i dont know.

Received an email regarding hay for sale, email address was fuade3@yahoo.com.  Then received a phone call via computer from the potential buyer, who called themselves Swansea Cole.  They wanted to pay us with a post dated check, but have us pay the haul driver and they would reimburse us.  Yeah Right!!  They wanted info like our full name, address, city, state, zip & cell number.  Be aware, if you couldn't figure this out, it is a total scam.

Told me they were translating..."caller- hey man what the f***s up? Me-who is this? Caller-It's chris from that butt f***ing party." I hung up....

It was the strangest thing. I'm not buying or selling anything. I've never heard of craig's list or whatever. But I got a call from a young woman who said she was relaying an instant message to me. From Ohio. i've never known anyone who's been to Ohio. They called me seveeral very vulgar names and didn't seem to make sense. i have no clue who it could have been because apparently, they forgot their name and decided the course of action was to call me "small a** b***h". if this wasn't a prank, then I know some very angry coward. Okay then.... if you insist.

I placed an add on my banks webpage called Trader.I advertized puppie and on a second add i listed a computer I was asking 350.00 for the pups and 900.00 for the gaming computer.I recieved an e-mail stating that he was very interested in the computer and would take a male and a female??????? Next time this happens i will hold the check and mail them monopoly money.My neigbor ended up having to pay 2500.00 to the bank because they cashed a Cashiers check without varifying.The english was very mixed up almost as if some word recognition program was reading adds.I also had the pups listed on Craigs list but the add was pulled almost imediately.I was not aware that you cannot sell dogs there no problem.I just had a phone call this evening and the caller ID was( IP Switch) I did not answe the call but i was interested who and what this was an when i searched the phone# i found this forum.Thanks folks

OMG a person called me and knows my phone number and the rest of my family members. claimed to be Shi Thad. claimed to live on my street. this person also knows my guinea pig's name and my brother's name. i am soooo freaked out i am shaking. someone please tell me what to do before i go bazurk!!!!!
