Got a call from this number said they were lawyers working with CashNet to collect a payday loan.  They said they are filing criminal charges in our local court.

This Proctor & Associates company called and left a very threatening message.

They said to call 216-744-9124 and the call must be returned immediately or they would go to the police and file criminal charges.

The first time they called I did call back and they wanted money for some bogus reason. But that did not stop them.

They have called and left similar messages since. I am not sure they law enforcement has not yet shut them down.

I know exactly what you mean I got the same call they called me at work and say they going to tell my job and report this to my credit bureau. They will Criminal charges against me.  I can be sent to prison if I don't pay up.  What the hell is going on here.  How do I go to report this if it is a scam.

I received a disturbing messege as well from this number as well. the mention the same thing there will be a warrant for my arrest if i dont pay up. it seemed like a very bad scam, the lawyer had an accent that i couldnt understand.

This man with an thick indian accent called my job over and over again. These people just will not stop. Talk about harrassment. Enough already. How can we make them stop?

This Indian guy says he will file criminal charges against me but wouldn't tell me why. Says he will call my work and tell them about me?!?  He says the only person that can call them is my attorney to find out what is going on..  He says I will get the affidavit in the mail.  He knows my SS#!!!  I don't have any outstanding loans with anyone.

I applied on line for a payday loan.  Yesterday, I had two charges on my bank statement.  One from My Cash Guardian for 29.95.  I called the bank and while I was on the phone with them, they called these people.  They told the bank they would refund the 29.95 to my account.  I do not know these people nor have I borrowed money from them.

The same day (yesterday), I had a charge to my bank account for $30.00 from Vantage Funding, who I do not know.   However, it was in the form of an electronic paper check so the bank said the fraud department would have to handle it.  The bank refunded the $30.00 to my account and said they would handle it from here on out.   Today, I started getting messages on my phone from an Indian sounding man that said his name was Jeff Foster with the law firm Proctor and Assoc.  He said he had a legal case against me for a cyber crime and I should call him before I am am arrested and drug through court, lose my job and lose my credit score.  I am sure my bank is pressuring him so he wants to try to scare me.  I have already called my attorney and he is going to be the one to get charges.

OMG Nancy, the exact same thing happended to me 6/13 & 6/12-Cash Guardian for $29.95 and $30.00 from Vantage Funding via electronic paper check - I am contacting my bank immediately.

OMG In just saw my bank account an I have a $29.95 charge on my account from mycash guardian.com and I too have had several mean threatening calls from someone with the same accent.

I recieved a similar call as listed before. I would say to all of you who have recieved this call and haven't done so already, to contact the local authorities.  List everything that was said in the phone call, and change your bank account information.  This person clearly has access to your bank account information.  It seems like a typical scenario of identity theft. I haven't seen any charges to any of my banks, so for now, I believe I'm safe. Monitor your bank statements constantly, and make sure you check everything before you sign anything.  I will be contacting my layers tomorrow morning, and see what they can do to resolve this issue. In the meantime, start changing all bank accounts, and place this caller on your blocked callers listing on your phone.

The only law office named Proctor & Associates is based in New South Wales Austrailia and I highly doubt they are licensed to practice in North America   SO it's a scam for sure

I got up this morning to see a charge of $29.95 from my bank account, I don't know who this company is and I have never gotten anything from them.  I looked them up on the BBB and this company has an F!!!!!

This just happened to me. nyonr figure out how to block them?

ANINdian guy names steve Heart said that he is calling to send papers to clooect a debt from a payday loan which I did not take.
He is abusively rude and threatening and keeps calling my place of business.
Any suggestions?
He said that they are fro mOhio - but the ohio locationof this company has a different number.

Also received a call from these people to my HR dept at work.  Let them know that his is a bogus call.  I do not have any payday loans so not sure how they got my info.  Funny thing is they called my work but not me directly.  I'm guessing they don't have all my info and couldn't reach me to harass me personally.  I have checked out this Proctor & Associates in Cleveland Ohio and no lawyer exist under that name.  Many other companies have that name but not any type of lawyer for debt collections.  So definetly some kind of scam.  As stated before monitor your bank accounts carefully..

I got a phone call  from them too, and they said if i don't call back , he wish me good luck,and they keep call my office number too

I had the same situation, Checking my bank account  there is a $29.95 charge on my account from mycash guardian. I contacted my back by online banking, they gave me this number to call and try to dispute and get a refund 1888-485-5853. I called this number and some customer rep answerd. She asked for my name so she can look up my account, I told her I don't have an account with them. She acted like she was looking up my account, then said the charge of $29.95 was for a loan you are trying to get approved for one thousand and something dollars! I told her i don't even know their company and never requested a loan through them. She said she would refund me my $29.95 in 48 hours. Well it's been 48 hours and I have yet to see any refund to my bank account, honestly i don't think they are going to refund me or anyone that contacts them since they are a FRAUD company. SO therefore today I am going to my bank to file a Fraud claim request my credit and close and re open a new account, incase they try to withdraw more.

This really is so frustrating when you are trying to make ends meet, that little bit of money doesn't seem allot but $29.95 is when you have a family trying to support. I can't believe people would even run something to do this to people!

I also have been getting calls from strange numbers with strange area codes.

I use to borrow for a cash advance company called TLC a couple years ago, so my boyfriend thinks that the company people that get on line cash loans from, sell international companies our phone numbers and information, that's how we end up with this type of situation. So very sad!

I will let things go and not stress about this, for God is to Judge. Wish everyone the best that has too go through this same situation.
