Telemarketing. They are reading from script. The people who call do NOT have the capability to remove you from their calling list, and they are programmed to HANG UP on you if press to talk to management about ensuring that you are removed from their calling list.

Report the company, as its questionable fraud if they will not remove you from their calling list.

Got two calls an hour apart from this number.
I have been getting more calls like this since the Vermont primary approaches. Wonder if the VT Democratic party is selling my cell number??

We have received three calls from this number this afternoon but I have not answered any of them.  Caller ID simply says "Ohio".

I too live in Vermont and receive at the least 4 calls from this number a day... When I call back it rings and then goes to a busy tone. Once we answered the call and there was no reply. I'm sick of these idiots calling!

Rec'd  call from this number today 08/25/2012. I used *69 service to call this number only to get a taped message: "this number no longer in service." Obviously, that is not true. Time for law enforcement to visit the owner of this number. I smell scam.

Same here (also in Vermont) - we've gotten three calls from this  "Ohio" number in the past 12 hours - but when we answer it goes dead.  I tried calling the number back.  It rang once, then went dead.  Extremely annoying.

Same deal.  These morons have called 5 times today, woke me up from my Sunday afternoon nap!  Live in the Champlain Valley.

Am from Vermont to. They call every day, even late at night. You answer..they hang up. You call back and you get a message saying this number is not in service. Yes, it is time to report this number.

Received this call twice in the past hour.  I refuse to answer the phone.  I am in NH.

How do we find out who this is?  To do reverse look-up with the operator it says there is no such number.  If you call if goes silent after a brief ring.  Given that this relates to a primary candidate, this does not seem at all appropriate.  The candidate's campaign team have no idea where this is coming from and they know it hurts them.  Who would do something like this and how do we find out?

I get these calls all the time.  I just got another one five minutes ago.  If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.  And yes, they are extremely annoying.
