Received a call, let it ring-no message!

same here, just says Springfield il. on the cid

My husband answered and it was some guy with a thick middle eastern accent telling him that something was wrong with our computer. Was very animated that he needed to help us right away. Clearly a scumbag con artist scammer. Hung up. I'll list as a prank call because there is no scammer choice listed.

Nobody was on other end - they sat there in silence.

Received a call from this number answered and it was a male with a heavy accent telling me that something was wrong with my computer.  I interrupted him and told him"I know this is a scam don't call again"  he immediately hung up.

A male talking to me about my computer having problems. I told him that Donald Trump was going to kick him out of the country soon. He hung up on me,awwwww

Caller ID is "Cell Phone   IL".  This alone makes it clear that the caller is a scumbag scam artist trying to get access to your PC or get personal information for identity theft to steal your assets. I did not answer and no message was left on voice mail - another indication that it is a criminal making the call. Do not answer this number.

This company calls EVERY DAY    Foreign trying to sell comp software to fix my comp.  WHICH HAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT

Missed call at 2:23pm today.  CID display showed 'Cell Phone IL'.  No message left.

Male caller - couldn't really understand with accent. Asked me to go to my computer because I was having trouble with it. Needed to install driver. Asked me to locate a button on the keyboard, then press it. I did not do this. I instead asked him his company name . he said 35 partners of Microsoft. I asked if Microsoft was aware that he was calling me and he said no, but that they would be aware of 35 Partners of Microsoft. I said that I would not access anything on my computer without calling Microsoft to verify first, he said " go to the goggle and type in 35 Partners of Microsoft and you will see we are a real company". I said no. I then proceeded to tell him my computer was working fine and I would not go to any site. the number he called from was 217-220-3671

"Indian"-sounding gal wanted to "Help" me with my Windows computer.  I told her I knew it was a scam and I was reporting it to the Illinois Atty General...and the phone number does not accept incoming calls...

Well if it is  another one of those Microsoft scams wonder if when I had trouble getting update to windows 10 my number was picked up somehow. Not going to answer them anyway.

Just got a call from this number. Not the first time, so I answered. Dead air. Not a sound. Tried calling back and got message the number does not receive calls.

Got a call from this number at 7:57am. Jackwagons. Way too early for the scam nonsense.

Just got the same call. After I told him I didn't have a computer he instantly hung up.

This number called twice so far. I don't answer numbers that I don't know.

a man left a message that he was from the treasury dept. he said I needed to return his call or we would be prosecuted by the law.

This scam has been around for about 8 years. Make a list of your family and friends phone numbers or make sure you can read the name on the display.....if you never answer the others, the legitimate callers will leave a message. The scum will eventually stop calling. Report the list of bad numbers to the National Registry once a month. That does help.

IF you keep answering, they will keep calling. Do NOT ask to be put on the do not call list....that tells them you're home and listening.
Send the exact phone number or what part you have to the National Registry. It does work.
