According to this call I am being sued by the IRS

I got a call from the number.  This is the 3rd call like this Ive had this year.  I called the number back a man answered  identified himself as a deputy with IRS.  He wanted the phone number I got the call on.  I gave him this information but then he wanted my name.  I hung up

The message claimed I'd been sued by IRS. IRS reaches you via USPS mail for any official notice with the full information about yourself.  Just ignore the scam call.

Total scam.  I asked to speak to a supervisor who proceeded to tell me I was wasting his time and hung up on me.  RUDE!

I received a message on my answering machine that I'm getting sued by the IRS and I have to call them at 217-298-0516. I Googled the number and it seems that it's a scam. Thanks to the other posters who reported on the phone call from this number. The information is very helpful.

Caller left a message saying she (computerized voice) was from the IRS and this was the last chance to settle with them.  The IRS is suing me.  Wow!!!  How many last chances is this scammer going to give me???  The IRS never calls you on the phone (at first).  There will be an official letter from the IRS.
